Chapter 16

Forth's pov:

I woke up to Beam's voice calling my name.

"Forth come on wake up."

When i opened my eyes, he was sitting beside me on the bed.

"Hey let's go have breakfast."

I groggily got up from the bed. Beam ran his hand through my hair fixing the bed hair a bit.

He took my hand and led me towards the kitchen.

When we got there, p'Mark was sitting on the dining table eating.

"Good morning." Beam greeted him.

"Good morning. Were you able to sleep well last night?" He asked me.

I nodded.

"Come on sit. I already made the food." He pointed towards the covered plates on the table.

After we finished eating, p'Mark told me to go ahead and wait for him in the workroom.

I decided to revise some of the things i learned yesterday until he comes.

Beam's pov:

After Forth went to the workroom, uncle mark turned to me.

"Did he tell you why he had a panic attack last night?"

"He met his dad last night." I said.

Uncle mark furrowed his eyebrows. "Isn't that a good thing?"

"He hates Forth. He used to beat him all the time when his mom wasn't home. That bastard even called him defective just because he was born mute." I said through gritted teeth.

Uncle mark also clenched his fists. "What kind of shitty father...."

"And now he's angry because Forth ran away from him 8 years ago. Something about Forth being an ungrateful brat." I looked at him.

"Do you know his surname?" He asked seriously.

I shook my head. "When i asked him his full name he said Forth jaturapoom. I could tell he didn't want to say his surname. We didn't know each other that well at that time so i didn't pry."

He nodded.

"Did he go out alone last night? How did he meet that guy anyway?" I asked him.

"Yeah i sent him out to buy some salt and pepper because i had run out. I didn't think much since he has been living alone for a long time." He answered.

"Can you make sure he doesn't go out alone again? I don't want to risk him seeing that guy again."

He nodded. "Of course. I don't want to see him in that state again. I may not have known him for long but i can tell he's an honest and sincere kid."

My phone suddenly rang. It was pha.

"Hey. You still remember that group assignment don't you?"

"Yeah. Give me an hour. I'll be there." I said and hung up.

I looked at uncle mark.

"Don't worry I'll take care of him. I'll call you if something happens." he assured me.

"Thanks uncle." I went to Forth's room and took my wallet and car keys.

I then went to uncle's workroom.

Forth was focusing on sewing something. It looked like a t-shirt.

"Hey i have to go. There's a group assignment that's due by tuesday." I walked over to him.
