Forth's pov:
I'm now in my room getting ready for the meeting.
I can't help but get nervous.
What does he want from me? What is he planning?
There was a knock on the door.
I went and opened it.
"You ready?" P'Mark asked.
I nodded.
"I already explained everything to Ria. She'll make sure you're not left alone with him at any time." He assured me.
That eased me up a bit.
His phone rang just then.
"Hey.... Yeah he's ready.... Ok we'll be there.... Yeah.." He hung up.
"Let's go. She's waiting for you." P'Mark smiled at me.
I pursed my lips and nodded.
We got into his car and drove to the company.
"You're here." Ria smiled at us when we went into her office.
"I'll leave him to you." P'Mark looked at her.
"Yeah. Don't worry i'll be right beside him the whole time." She assured him.
He nodded and went out.
I went and sat infront of Ria.
"Here's the contract." She gave me the file.
I read through it.
The conditions stated in it eased me up a lot.
"You're designs might be at the level of the top designers' but you're still a newbie. So we can use that to our advantage." She said.
I nodded.
She stared at me for a while.
I blinked and took out my phone.
Is there something on my face?
"No i was just thinking..." She shook her head.
I tilted my head.
About what?
"Have you ever thought about learning sign language?" She asked.
I was a bit taken aback by the unexpected question.
"It will be easier to communicate that way. We can hire an interpreter to be with you during events and meetings." She explained.
It's not that i don't want to. I just never thought of it. I was too busy trying to keep myself alive so i never really gave it a thought. And i was told i would be able to talk if i went to a speech therapist so i guess i was hoping to be able to afford that and not have to learn it.
She blinked and looked at me.
"When were you told that?" She asked.
When i was 7.
"Have you been to a doctor after that?"
I shook my head.
"You should talk to Mark about it. You should get checked and see if you can still be able to talk. Money isn't a problem now is it?" She smiled.
I nodded.
We spent the rest of the hour discussing about the details of the contract.
"It's time. Let's go." She stood up.
