9 years later:
Beam's pov:
"I'm home!" I called out.
"Welcome home papa!" Mew ran upto me.
I lifted him up and showered him with kisses making him giggle.
"I missed you baby."
"Papa you saw me this morning!" He laughed.
"But even a day feels so long without mewwie." I whined.
He kissed my cheek. "Mewwie missed papa too!"
I smiled widely.
"Where's daddy?" I asked as we went inside.
"He's making dinner." He answered.
I put him down and we headed to the kitchen.
Forth was there cooking.
I went and backhugged him.
He turned his head and pecked my cheek.
"Welcome home."
"I'm home love." I pecked his cheek as well.
"How did the surgery go?" He asked.
"It went smoothly. He's a strong boy." I smiled.
He smiled as well.
Mew clung onto our legs.
We looked down.
He was pouting and frowning.
"Mewwie also want hugs."
We chuckled.
I lifted him up and hugged him tightly.
"We will cuddle together after dinner ok?"
He nodded happily.
Forth quickly finished making the food and served them on the table which was already set.
We ate while Mew told us about the things he did at school today.
The smile didn't leave our faces even for a second.
"Guppie is grumpy but Mewwie wants to be friends!" He said sadly.
We raised our eyebrows.
"He doesn't want to be friends?" I asked.
"He always pushes Mewwie away when Mewwie tries to talk to him....." He mumbled.
I looked at Forth.
"If Mewwie keeps trying I'm sure he'll start being nice." He looked at Mew.
"Really?" He asked hopefully.
"Yup. Our Mewwie can make anyone happy." I ruffled his hair.
He chuckled. "Mewwie will work hard so Guppie will be friends with Mewwie."
We smiled warmly.
After we finished eating, we took a warm bath together before settling in bed.
I sung a lullaby for Mew.
Forth fell asleep in a matter of minutes. Even Mew hadn't fallen asleep.
"Daddy was working hard all day. He must be tired." Mew said softly.
He did say they are in the middle of a big project....
"And yet you still cook and do everything in the house..." I sighed.
