Oh my gosh, my Flowers, Kook asking about dogs because he was too nervous?! 😂 And now Tae is buying him a gift! Let’s see what happens when Jimin meets Yoongi tomorrow. Don't forget to comment and vote! 🌸
"Like what, Mr. Kook?" Tae asked, tilting his head with a curious glance.
"Do you... do you like dogs?!" Kook blurted out, his voice a pitch higher than usual. He forced a wide, incredibly awkward grin. "Yes! Dogs! Do you like them? Hihihi."
Tae blinked, completely thrown off by the sudden question. "Huh? Oh... dogs? Ah, yeah! Yeah, I really like dogs. But... my stepmother doesn't allow pets at home."
"Oh! Hihihi, I see... I see!" Kook nodded furiously, his eyes darting anywhere but at Tae. "Well, don't forget to give Jimin the news, okay? Okay!"
"Yes, Mr. Kook," Tae replied, watching his boss with growing suspicion.
Kook practically scrambled back to his executive desk, his heart beating a frantic rhythm against his ribs. He buried his face in his hands, screaming internally at his own stupidity.
Shit! Dogs?! Why dogs, Kookie?! Why on earth did you ask that? he scolded himself, gripping his hair. Agh, complete nonsense! Of all the things to say, why dogs? Aish! He snuck a glance toward Tae’s desk. Wait... why am I always so incredibly nervous when I'm in front of him? What is happening to me? Is what Yoongi said actually true? Do I... do I really like him? What should I do?
"Aggghh!" Kook suddenly shouted out loud, unable to contain his frustration.
Tae jumped at the sudden noise. Without a second thought, he rushed over to Kook's desk and placed a comforting hand on his boss's shoulder. "Mr. Kook! What happened? Are you okay?"
The moment Tae's hand touched his shoulder, the world stopped spinning.
It's happening again... Kook thought, staring wide-eyed as Tae leaned over him. Why does everything suddenly seem to move in slow motion? What did you do to me? Why is my heart beating so fast again? "Mr. Kook! Are you okay? Eyy, Mr. Kook!" Tae called out, waving a hand in front of his frozen face.
Kook snapped out of his trance, violently pulling away. "Huh?"
"You just shouted out of nowhere," Tae said, looking around the secure room. "Did something happen?"
"Ah... I—I thought I saw a ghost!" Kook stammered, pulling the first ridiculous excuse out of his head.
"Huh?" Tae pressed his lips together, his shoulders shaking as he desperately tried to suffocate a massive burst of laughter.
Kook’s eyes narrowed as he realized Tae was practically dying inside, making fun of him. Argh, shit, Kookie... why do you say the most nonsensical things every time you get nervous? A ghost?! Are you out of your mind? I hate this feeling, argh! "I'll get back to work now, Mr. Kook, if you don't need anything else," Tae giggled, turning on his heel.
"Ah... wait!" Kook called out quickly, wanting to hide his burning face. "You can leave early today. Now, in fact! And Jimin too. Both of you have permission to clock out early so you can... you know, tell him about his new job for tomorrow! Right? Right."
Tae turned back, completely bewildered but not about to turn down an early dismissal. "Ah... okay then. I will leave first, Mr. Kook. Bye!"
"Bye," Kook murmured, slumping into his chair.
Weird... why is Mr. Kook acting so strange today? Haish, so weird... Tae thought to himself as he gathered his things. He stepped into the sleek executive elevator, pressing the button for the ground floor where Jimin was currently completing his shift in the Information Department.
