In your eyes I see a distant land.
Where you take my hand.
Perhaps it's Rome.
Nevertheless it's a place where we're happy and alone.

"Cecily." Romeo greeted, his eyes boring into mine, demanding my feet to stay planted on the threshold of the door. My mouth went dry hearing Romeo's clear, deep voice.
Amusement danced in his features seeing my amazed state, "Juliet, you ok?" He smirked which made my mind regain its state of awareness with a sudden impact of my thoughts bombarding into it.
"Y-yes. Why wouldn't I be ok?" I stammered and stepped aside so that he could walk inside. Before he could wander in my abode or encounter one of my mannerly siblings I grabbed his arm and guided him up the stairs to my room. Only when we were inside did I let go of him.
"Ok..." he trailed off, looking around my room, his eyes taking in the ruffled sheets of my bed, my backpack thrown on my study table, the books piling out of it and the open jar of strawberry jam with a spoon sticking in it sitting on the same table.
"You have a sweet tooth, huh?" He asked, picking up the jar and plunging a spoonful of strawberry jam in his mouth.
"Not really. I just like strawberry jam." I answered, moving towards him and taking my jar of heavenly goodness out of his hands. "No. Like is not right. I love it. No, I'm obsessed with it. Which means you don't get to touch it." I sneered, taking the spoon out of his mouth. My eyes lingered on his lips as his tongue darted out to lick his bottom lip.
I cleared my throat moving around him and grabbing the cap of the jar so I could securely put it back on the study table.
"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today." Romeo sang, surprising me with his care-free attitude that he was for the first time gracing me with.
"And someone woke up on the right side of the bed today." I mockingly sang in the same tone he had used.
"Well geez! can't a guy just live for once?" He joked but I didn't miss the undertones of genuine complaint in that phrase.
"Fine. Live all you want but after we are done with the presentation." I stated with finality.
"Juliet, chill. We have the two whole days." He reasoned, plopping onto my bed and grabbing the plushy of a whale I always kept close to me whenever I slept. "And who's this...?"
Instead of answering his question, that part of my brain that commanded my tongue to move bought a ticket and took a train straight to dreamland. It stopped on a street called 'bliss' where it would stay for the next two days.
Two days.
Romeo fucking Gibson would spend two of his days with me.
"Earth to Juliet..." A distant voice made its way to my daydreaming until it cleared and I saw Romeo waving at me from my bed.
"Oh don't you Juliet me!" I said, grabbing Mr. Walson out of his hands.
"Cecily." He sounded and I couldn't be annoyed by him anymore because just that one word made my insides melt. I loved it when he said my name.
And that bastard knew what that did to me. I could see a satisfactory smirk on his face as his eyes shamelessly raked me up and down. "So who's the whale, Juliet." He asked, his darkened eyes stopping at my chest where I held Mr. Walson.
"Mr. Walson."
He chortled, "What? What kind of name is that?"
My defensive mode switched on and I hid Mr. Walson away from me, "I was going to name him Whaleson but that didn't sound right so the next best name of Walson, ok? Stop laughing at me!"
