So doth the sun witness a truth today:
The start of our love,
The very beginning of May
Wrapped in green colors,
Atop a tree a bird singing a lay.

Today was the day, I thought as my eyes reluctantly opened against my sleep.
The day of the play.
The day I'd watch Romeo call another girl Juliet. And very possibly kiss her.
The thought made me want to throw up. So I engaged myself in other things: I watched the sunrise, I drank some of Danny's juice, I did my hair, I put on some light makeup, and I made breakfast.
I, Cecily Parker, made her first breakfast today.
It wasn't long before mom skipped into the kitchen, sniffing her way in with her eyes closed.
"Tell me you haven't wrecked my kitchen." She stopped and asked, her eyes squinted shut.
"Contrary to popular belief mother I actually do know how to act like a grown up." I rolled my eyes, flipping an egg.
Mom slowly opened her eyes, afraid of what she might see.
"Oh thank God!" She exclaimed, taking in the pancakes, the waffles, and the egg I was cooking. "I knew you had it into you, Cecy. I always believed in you."
She was smiling now, trying to hide the fact that she totally did not believe in me.
I chuckled, "drop the act, mom."
"Alright alright! But you did good."
And then my dad walked in, "Lottie is my sandwich rea- Holy Mother of God! Am I not getting any breakfast today?"
"Ugh! Why do my parents assume the worst in me?" I said to no one in particular as I pointed to the kitchen counter. Dad came and ruffled my hair.
"I always knew you had-"
I cut him off, "save it, daddy. Mom already tried."
He sighed and quietly went to the kitchen counter.
"So what's this about?" Both of my parents asked, pointing at the counter.
I shrugged, not wanting to answer. Except my brother and sister thought I did need to answer.
"This is about Romeo Gibson, isn't it?" Catherine stood at the door of the kitchen, her demeanor neutral as she observed me.
"Today's the Romeo and Juliet play. I bet Ella is thinking about Ivy as Juliet kissing Romeo." Daniel smirked. He stood beside Catherine, his hands on his hips.
"What does that have to do with anything?" Dad looked around, confused.
"Romeo is playing Romeo." Cathy stated, looking at Mom and Dad.
It took a while for both of them to understand what she meant but when they did they let out a unified "Oh"
"Stop 'oh'ing!" I snapped, turning back to my egg and making sure it came out as perfect as ever. If there was one thing I was getting right today it would be this breakfast.
"So I figure telling him about that restaurant yesterday didn't do much?" Dad quietly asked.
Restaurant?
My brows knitted in confusion before I recalled last night.
"You did that?" I turned around, the egg on a plate now.
