Hola people!

So I thought about it real hard and I've decided that I'm going to update this book every week at least till the day my classes start. This is because I realized most people don't like to read ongoing books, they want completed books. So yeah I'm doing that.

Anyway don't forget to vote, comment and share!

"Hi", I whispered. The way he was sitting, shoulders hunched, I figured if I didn't whisper it would hurt probably both our ears. It was as if we were in a bubble and my voice would just burst it.

He looked over, squinting at the sun  behind me. The way the light of the sun fell on his face made my heart hurt. He looked unreal, as if someone had painted him, as if he was a character from a book. The light on his blond curly hair turned them golden. The blue of his eyes against the heat of the sun on my back made me think of ice cold water. Soothing and calm.

He eyed me and I couldn't speak. I have never not known what to say but in this moment I truly did not know.

"Hey.", he whispered back still looking at me as if he couldn't look away.

"School's over shouldn't you be heading home?"

He gave me a small smile, "I could ask you the same thing."

I snorted, "Yeah I guess."

"Why are we whispering?"

I don't know what it was that made me say it. Maybe the fact that he was still staring at me. Maybe because I was going crazy. Or maybe because I had just read a book where the main character was a love-sick poetess.

But he was looking at me!

No guy has ever looked at me like he was looking at me. So I said what I said without giving it a second thought.

"I'm afraid if I speak louder you will disappear."

His lips dropped and I saw his Adam's apple bob up and down. He sighed and looked away, then looked back and said, "I won't."

His gaze was too intense for me to hold and when I averted my eyes from his I became a little too aware of what I had just said to him.

Why the fuck did I say that again?

Freaking stupid poetess!

Change the subject before it gets too awkward, bitch. My subconscious mocked.

"So uhm... you're new in town?", I asked.

"Yeah. Moved here from New York.", he stated. I noticed he hesitated when he said the city's name as if recalling a hurtful memory. When I looked over at him he had turned his gaze back to stare at the playground. His jaw was clenched hard and he had stopped moving his swing.

"You left New York for Williamsdale?", I asked with my eyebrows raised. I mean who would want to live in Williamsdale? I had been to New York only once, with my family, for only a weekend and honestly we hadn't seen enough. The first thing I and my siblings did was get into a Starbucks and order large hot chocolates because it was cold and we didn't have sweaters.

One particular memory of Cathy stood out from that day when we had gotten on a ferry to go to Staten Island and Cathy had thrown her hot chocolate out in the water.

Nevertheless it was a city I wanted to visit again. I preferred the hustle of people in Manhattan compared to the quiet streets of Williamsdale.

"I had my reasons. Plus New York is not as great as you are led to believe.", Romeo articulated.
