"Don't put on that long face. You look pitiful. At least when you put on an arrogant face you look a bit attractive." Nandini said, looking at me.

"Are you mocking me?" I shot a glare at her. Was that suppose to be a complaint or a compliment?

"I am just stating the facts." She shrugged, before turning her gaze back to the ceiling.

"You- urghh just get lost."

She chuckled. "Now that's like my arrogant monster."

The word my didn't go unnoticed by me. For no damn reason I felt kind of good on hearing it. Minutes passed by and instead of looking at the ceiling, I stared at her. She looked beyond beautiful in the dim artificial starlight. Moreover I could see her eyes sparkle and it kind of fascinated me.

"Manik when did you-" She stopped mid sentence on spotting me staring at her and I almost immediately averted my gaze from her. Damn it felt so embarrassing. Why in the world was I staring at her?

"You sneaky monster. You were stealing glances of me, weren't you?"

"Is there a need to steal glances of a ghost like you? I don't even want to see you." I lied putting on a straight face. Something was surely wrong with me.

"Moody liar monster." She huffed.

"Just go away. You are ruining this beautiful view of mine." I lied yet again. The sight of the shinning ceiling looked even more beautiful with her. Sigh! I was losing my sanity for sure.

"Ran! Ran!" I repeated his name in my mind, trying to remind myself of his betrayal. But I just couldn't bring myself to hate him for what he did. May be it was because I barely remembered what he did after possessing my body.

"Why are you so chatty? Like you keep on talking non stop whether I reply back or not." Manik said with his eyes fixed on the road.

We were quite close now or so I thought. Well he still acted arrogant around me. He still from time to time tried to ignore me and he still tried to murder me with those glares of his. But then from time to time he offered me drinks and even talked with me. He even let me lay beside him and see the sparkly starlight ceiling. So well we were close enough.

"Well isn't that a good thing?"

"And how is that good Miss excessively positive?" He asked, turning his gaze for a millisecond towards me. Well he even started giving me nicknames but trust me the names he gave me - Bug, Noise pollution, wall passing ghost, miss excessively positive - sucked.

"Well Mr. Always negative you see when I keep on talking you don't feel lonely and I don't get bored. So it's like a win win situation."

"And who told you I am lonely? I have friends unlike you." He surely sounded offended.

"Yea right. Friends like family but I know you still feel lonely when they aren't around. You are like a lonely monster who opens up only to a few and the few lists include Cabir, sometimes Mukti and sometimes me."
