M A N I K

"I am telling you Cabir. If you guys don't arrive in ten minutes, I am backing off from the concert." I almost yelled.

"Calm down Manik! We are almost there." Cabir said from the other side of the phone. He had said the exact same thing half an hour ago.

"Manik even you know it's so hard to change the location at the end moment." I heard Mukti say from the other side of the phone.

"So is it my fault? I clearly told you all that the concert location had changed but you all were busy drinking the night out in your language."

"But we thought the location was nearby. So we went out just for a while." Alya made one of the lamest excuse ever.

"And Manik food is god. Food ko maana nahi karte." Cabir added.

I just wanted to punch Cabir right away. I had been standing on the footpath for the last 30 minutes, waiting for them to arrive, so that we could go to our concert location together and here he was busy taking a stand for his freaking food.

"Cabir do you want to die?"

"I don't mind. I can still stick to your side as a ghost.", said Cabir and I heard the other three chuckle.

I was already irritated and the mention of ghost just irritated me even more.

"We have two hour left before the concert starts. I am giving you all last ten minutes. If you guys don't arrive, I am returning back to our dorm." I blasted.

Ever since my childhood till my high school, I had this strange ability to see ghosts. I could talk with them, touch them and even feel them. Some ghosts were scary and some just looked exactly like humans except for their skin colour which was unusually pale. Ghosts used to pester me and some even scared me to get their things done for them. They really annoyed the shit out me but one day I suddenly stopped seeing them and it had been like that for almost four years now.

"Manik-" Alya tried saying something but I angrily hung up the call.

I looked around, trying to calm myself down. The night was dark and the road was unusually quiet with only a few vehicles passing by from time to time.

"How could they be so careless? They knew we had a concert to perform and yet they went out for drinking without even informing me." I let out a frustrated sigh as I leaned on the huge sign board. "Navya's going to nag about it again."
