Kirby groggily opened his blue eyes, shaking himself awake. He blinked, looking around in alarm when he was brought to his senses.
Where was he? Why was he covered with a pink blanket instead of his blue star-covered one? Had he been kidnapped?
"Po- poyo?" Kirby wailed, his eyes darting around the room in fear.
The room was much bigger than his house. Instead of the round, tight walls he was familiar with, he was presented with a long, aquamarine wall.
There were various weapons on the wall (swords, blades, spears, daggers, axes, lances, and maces) and Kirby stared at each of them, confused. If he had been kidnapped, he could easily inhale those objects to defend himself. His captors must know nothing about him, if they just left the weapons hanging for him to take.
"Kirby? Are you alright?"
Kirby jumped out of the bed in surprise as he heard the deep, calm voice of Meta Knight.
He flushed with embarrassment as he remembered the events that had happened yesterday night. He had fallen asleep on Meta Knight due to exhaustion, and thus, was probably brought to his room.
That made much more sense.
But why did Meta Knight have a pink blanket? Kirby would never know.
Kirby fumbled with the blankets, almost melting at their soft silkiness. "Po poyoi poyo!" Kirby answered, reasurring Meta Knight in his gibberish language.
Kirby heard an amused laugh through the door. "I am afraid I cannot understand one word you are saying, my friend, but I shall take it as a sign that you are feeling well. May I come in?"
"Poyo!"
Meta Knight opened the door carefully, looking around before landing his sights on Kirby.
"I hope you do not mind sleeping on my bed. I usually do not have visitors, so it is quite rare for me to give up my bed for guests," Meta Knight chuckled softly. Kirby waved his arms, smiling as he showed his gratitude to his mentor.
"Poi pu!"
Meta Knight's eyes glinted. "I assume that is a 'thank you'?"
Kirby nodded, hating his lack of speech more than ever. It made communication awkward.
Meta Knight eye-smiled. "Why, you are very welcome Kirby. If you are feeling better, you may go eat some breakfast. Blade Knight has made pancakes just for you."
Kirby's eyes sparkled.
Not long after, Kirby was practically skipping as he rushed towards Meta Knight's dinner table (or breakfast table, whichever perspective you may look it as). The smell of enticing food was too great to resist as Kirby hopped onto the short stool (that probably belonged to Meta Knight) that was laid out for him.
"Good morning Kirby!" came out the cheerful voice of Blade Knight. Blade's green armor and yellow crest caught Kirby's eye immediately, with his beautiful red pony tail laid out behind him. "It's great to see you! I hope you enjoy the food I made for you!"
Kirby cried out his thanks, before opening his mouth to inhale the food (which were, again, pancakes with maple syrup spilled ontop, with a side of strawberries, blueberries, and apple slices), but stopped when a white, gloved hand moved the plate away from him.
Although Kirby could still easily inhale the food, he didn't want to inhale Sword Knight along with it. Sword wore a darker shade of aquamarine armor with a brown base and blue belt. Though not as cheerful as Blade Knight, Sword was still very polite and kind, often aiding Kirby when he was in deep trouble.
