I have Ganpati at my home this year and that too for the first time. In all these years I carved to bring Bappa to my place. Being Marathi, I have always been enthusiastic for Ganpati but my wish of bringing Bappa to my home never fulfilled until this year. The joy of having Bappa at your home is unexplainable and I pray him to bless all of us with joy and prosperity.
Ganpati Bappa Mourya!
PS: I have no idea what rubbish I have typed for this chapter but I hope it would make sense. The last few days have been busy for me, making it impossible for me to follow my daily routine but I hope I can come back to my regular life now.
She waved her friends back and took her designated seat as she finished her spa session. Her face was glowing the aftermath of the beauty treatment she received inside. She looked at her fair hands and the jingling white and red bangles who were adding stars in her beauty. She smiled at the beautician who greeted her warmly and she forwarded her hand to her, all set to receive manicure and pedicure treatment next.
"Hey, Shagun. Your face is glowing. Aisa lagta hai facial treatment accha gaya hai tumhara." (Your face is glowingShagun. It looks like the facial treatment went nice.) Her one friend commented making her feel proud of her never-aging beauty. She gave her a proud smile and looked herself in the mirror again before replying to her back, "It's the effect of love. You know. Tu bhi shaadi kar le, pati ki pampering se tu bhi glow karne lagegi." (It's an effectof love dear. You will only get it after your marriage.) The pride was not of getting married but she conquered what she wished, she managed to show the world that she is not some regular woman who can be dumped anytime. She showed the world that what she wished, she achieved.
She is Shagun Ashok Khanna now, no longer a trophy girlfriend but a wife of her long term boyfriend.
The wife of the same man for whom she left her husband and family, the man who made her waited for six long years before accepting her in public, the man she not only loves but who is her obsession now. There were many obstacles that came in the path of her marriage, her current husband's elder brother tried various ways cunningly to stop their marriage but she failed all his attempts and conquered what she wished. The prefix of Mrs and suffix of Khanna with her name, she started to assume that signing up a prenuptial contract with Ashok and become his legal wife taking seven vows in front of the whole world gave her everything but something definitely was wrong in her marriage which she started to feel more with passing days. Shagun didn't know what was the reason for her husband sudden disengagement from her but she assumes it might be her fading beauty and she started to go to the gym and pay attention to her face more. She wanted to make herself look good for his eyes and she was ready to pay any price of it. Shagun checked her phone hoping to receive some news of her husband whether bounds but when she found her notification box empty, her face fell with disappointment. "Hey guys, look at the housewarming pictures of Raman and Ishita's party." Her fried Anaya who was sipping wine by now passed the magazine along with her friends where the housewarming pictures and few clicks were published of Raman and Ishita's new mansion. "Shagun your ex-husband house is damn exotic, nahi." Bhaavna, her another friend commented knowing it's gonna piss off Shagun.
