That night Shagun Khanna didn't get a wink of sleep. The collar of her husband's shirt was painted with a red lipstick mark and he was smelling loop like some woman. She treated the wound he gave her while crying on her fate being cheated by the man for whom she left her family, her ex-husband who used to love her insanely along with two beautiful kids who would make her life complete but she left everything for a man who lured her for money and glitters. He labeled her as an opportunist and gold digger but she ignored everything thinking he loves her genuinely but from the last few days, his behavior is disturbing and suspicious. He usually disappears from home without informing her and returns late at night. Earlier she ignored it thinking it might be a business-related thing but today she was sure something else is going in her husband's life. Shagun legs wobbled at last and she fell to the floor with tears streaming down from her eyes.
She kept crying and crying wondering what exactly went wrong in their relationship.
The entire night passes as same but Shagun Khanna didn't get a wink of sleep until morning. She was drunk and tired, she slept over couch somewhere in the early morning hugging herself. When Shagun woke up she found herself alone and her husband absent from their bedroom. Shagun ran out from the room in search of Ashok and found him having his breakfast all alone.
"Ashok." Shagun ran behind her husband seeing him leaving for office. Ashok khanna who was in a good mood after the escapade of last night creased his eyebrows finding his wife coming running towards him.
"Listen baby. Where are you leaving?" Shagun stopped her husband with desperateness which was enough to make him feel irritated.
"What Shagun? Stop pulling my blazer. You almost ruined it." Ashok barked at Shagun leaving her shocked. She tried to say something but stopped by her husband who jerked her backwards, "Listen Shagun. Stop behaving like some teenager. We are married now and you prefer to behave like a one."
"Why I'm not supposed to behave like this when you're running away from me ashok? We are bloody married, husband and wife for heavens sake but nowadays you started to avoid me." Shagun cried due to frustration leaving Ashok irritated.
"Stop screeching Shagun. My eardrums might burst." Ashok yelled another time and ordered a servant to bring a mirror for him.
"Ashok this is not right. You cannot do it with me. You never behaved with me in such a way. Dont go anywhere Ashok. Dekho kal Aaditya aane wala hai. Chalo na hum use lene chalte hai. You says he is your son haina Ashok? Aur tumne usko promise kiya tha na for new Mac book. Hum woh bhi khareed lete hai." (Aaditya is returning tomorrow. Let's go for shopping and prepare a grand welcome for him. He wished to have that Mac book. We will purchase that as well.)
"Ismein meri kya zaroorat hai, tum chali jaao." (I dont think if I needed there) Ashok replied dryly while removing the creases from his waistcoat. "Aur haan mujhse uske expenses ke liye koi ummed mat karna." (And stop expecting finances from me for every damn expense of Aaditya.) Ashok warned Shagun clearly pissed with her attitude.
"But you says he is your son. You gave him your name. He.....he calls you dad Ashok." Shagun cried aloud unable to bear hatred in her husbsnd eyes for herself. "You cannot treat him like this"
"He is not my son. Samjhi tum. Apne bete ke liye itne hi expensive gifts khareedne ka shouk hai toh apne paise se lo na." (He isn't my son Shagun. If you want to buy stuffs for him than do it with your own money.) Ashok rude remark left Shagun stunned. She tried to react but she was shocked to say something.
"You considered him as your son long back Ashok. Stop speaking ill about our son." Shagun replied Ashok in dangerous voice unable to bear the ill words Ashok was using for Aaditya.
