It is almost the end of the year. The last time Jennie was with me is early of the year and that was the last time we made love. The last time we kissed, the last time we say our "I love you" to each other. She left me and Ella for her new life and there is no one to be blame. Ella still cannot hear Jennie's name. She will tremble in anger and will just walk away. I still listen to her songs every now and then because my love for her will never stop. I vowed in our wedding last time to only love her and that's why I'm doing. I have Ella and finding someone new to replace her is nothing in my mind. Let there be no messages and promises from Jennie anymore, there is no more Jennie on my side to understand me, I let my heart goes empty. My love are now only for my daughter Ella.
"Ella, do you want to stroll down the river like we used to do? I don't need to go to work today and we can spend time maybe catching some fish to eat today.. nyum!! Fresh fish... you want?" I asked Ella when her eyes shine bright. I have been busy with my field work and I know Ella is bored. Usually it will be Jennie who will accompany her in her daily life but now she needs to be with me every now and then. She became clingy to me because she missed Jennie so much, but she doesn't want to admit that.
"Really Mommy! Can I wear my fishing hat just for fun..." She asked me and I nod. I love seeing her smile because it reminds me of Jennie. How her gummy smiles adore me every time.
Once we are ready, we walked along the river while talking about how refreshing this is. Sometimes I will catch her and she will run laughing at me. It's good to see that she has no issue with her heart anymore and I thank Jennie for sacrificing herself to work for Ella. Even though she left us, she still helped Ella which I appreciate until now.
"Ella wait for me.. you're so fast.. hahaha" She sticks her tongue out looking at me laughing while running making me remember Jennie again. She likes to stick her tongues out when I try to catch her and wink at me after that. Ella really follow her traits.
"Mommy, you are so slow... hahaha.. come and catch me..." I laugh looking at her because right now, I have her in my life. I will make sure Ella gets everything from me and be happy with me. I want her to forget her sadness. I want her not to hate Jennie. Jennie made her decisions which are wrong to Ella but I still love her when she was with me. And I will love her now until my last breath.

We reached out spot where we always fish for fun. Usually Ella and Jennie will be here first and then I will come after to join them. I can see Ella looked through the water while smiling sadly.
"Oh my Ella.. I'm sorry I'm not strong enough to care for your Eomma until she left you... It is all my fault"
I whisper to myself when I look at Ella staring sadly. She saw me and started smiling hiding her sadness. I smiled back at her pretending I don't see anything and pretended to be tired catching her.
"You're so fast Ella, Mommy is tired now hahaha... can you setup the fishing rod for me pleaseeee" Ella loves doing that and she jumped around nodding her head and once done, she sits beside me kissing my cheeks while smiling. She reminded me again of Jennie because that is the usual thing Jennie will do when she wants to sit beside me. Our life is perfect that time but what happened now? Jennie really left me but why I can feel her soul still loving me and caring about me. Why do I feel like she's the wind that flow through me kissing me whenever I missed her? I ignore it and focus on Ella and we catch couple of fish that day. She was so happy looking at her catch. This is the first time I saw she smiles genuinely after Jennie left.
We both walked along the river going back to our house to cook for our dinner when I heard noises behind the trees and I got curious. Ella was happy by herself by that time so I focus on the voice when I heard someone pleading for help.
"Please do not hurt me, I already gave you everything you need. Just go!" The sound of a man in his 40s pleading to let him free. Then I heard again someone replied back to him.
"I want more from you! I know who you are and we are told to hurt you. You will not be safe from now on. Nobody will help you! Hahahaha" I ran as fast as I can to the location because I cannot let someone hurt an innocent man. Ella saw me and ran following me with her fish confused of my actions.
When I reached the location, I saw a man in his late 40s pleading not to hurt him and there are 3 men with small knife trying to hurt him.
"Hey you! Stop this! Don't hurt that old man!" I shouted making all of them look at me angry.
"Who are you woman! Get away from here if you do not want to be hurt!" The leader try to shoo me away but I went nearer making them attack me. Lucky I know a little bit of martial arts hence I am able to fight them.
Fate is not with me when I did not realize one of them ran behind me and stabs me at my waist making me kneel in pain. I can feel the world is spinning around me
"Arghhhh...." I shouted in pain
"Mommmy!!!" I can hear Ella shouts and I lay on the ground with the blood flowing out of me.
"Let's run boys! We don't want to get caught..." All of them run away leaving the place. I felt the pain stings and I can really feel anything around my body. I can hear Ella cried out loud calling me. I saw the old man called ambulance and I can hear Chaesoo's voice but I am not sure anymore.
All I can see is Jennie walking from far smiling at me while holding Ella. I smiled at them wanting to follow but they seem so far away from me.
"Nini.... Ella.... Wait for mommy..." I can hear sounds all around me but I cannot feel anything. My world slowly went black. Is this the end of me? How about Ella? She needs me, Jennie will come back to me right?
I felt someone picking up my body to put me on something but my eyes flutters shutting down. Oh God, please don't let me die. I have Ella to take care of as she has no one right now.
I don't even remember what happen as the world went dark as they took me to where I need to do.
