Talking Out Some Things

*A Few Days Later*

"Can you just get it over with?" I groan as I lean up against the lockers. "Whatever April Fools joke that you are planning, I just want you to tell me what it is."

"You didn't plan anything to say to me?" Kenny cocks an eyebrow, crossing his arms over his chest. "Nothing like last year where you got me all excited and nervous about having to raise a child so young."

"I'm sorry about that," I sigh. "That was mean, and I wasn't thinking about how you would feel afterwards. I was just thinking about how you would react. The look on your face. Next time that I tell you that, it is going to be for real."

"It better be," he smirks.

"Now enough about me," I whine. "What have you planned for me?"

He chuckles, "I promise you, princess, that I have nothing planned. What would I even joke about? You know that I can't die, and I would really not like to have to kill myself for some stupid day. I'm not even going to joke about breaking up with you. That is cruel and stupid, as I would never even think about breaking up with you. A marriage proposal in the middle of the school day would be clearly a joke, again something I would never joke about. When I am ready to propose to you, it is going to be the sweetest moment of our relationship. That's just some of the stuff that I can think off the top of my head, but I think you get the point."

"And this is why I love you so damn much," I chuckle, pushing off the lockers and falling into Kenny's arms. "I guess, I just got all worked up because of this stupid day of pulling pranks."

Kenny runs his hands up and down my back, "It's okay, darling. I know that this day can really suck for people, and I didn't want to make light of anything."

"I don't know if anyone else is planning to do something though, and that still sucks. At least I know that I can count on you."

"We should probably head to lunch now that we've settled this," he chuckles. "And if anyone plays a prank on you because of what today is, you just come right to me. I'll set them straight."

I giggle, breaking away from my boyfriend, "I don't doubt that. Okay, come on, let's get to lunch."

Today has been fairly uneventful, which is completely fine by me. Even though I did an April Fool joke last year, I'm not really a fan of the whole idea of what this day is meant to be. I've had quite a few jokes aimed at me on this day, none of them I ever found remotely funny. Of course, I was always the one acting out of line. Not playing along to the fun that this day is meant to bring. At least South Park is strange more than one day out of the year, so doing something crazy to someone else on this day doesn't seem to be on anyone's mind.

"I just think that today is stupid," Bebe rolls her eyes.

"You're just saying that because Clyde pranked you with that shoebox full of rocks," Nicole chuckles. "You have to admit, that he got you good."

"It is better than Stan pretending to throw up on me," Wendy grumbles. "I really thought that he had reverted back to his younger years, which would mean that I would have to stay as far away from him for a while."

"I think that it is kind of sweet that Stan would pretend to throw up, since that is what he would do because he liked you so much," Red giggles.

"It is still gross," Krystal shakes her head. "Boys can be so weird."

"They can also be so sweet," I smile, pulling food out of my lunchbox.
