*A Few Days Later*

"Why hello there, Princess Rosa," I grin as I check myself out in my full length mirror. It has been many months since I last wore my princess dress, and I honestly forgot how amazing I look in it. Couple that with how I am using flower clips to pull back my hair to show off the color, and the fact that my hair is right at my jaw now, I think that I could get all the heads to turn. "I am ready to get back out there and have some fun."

I grab my Marvel backpack full of art supplies and head out of my room. Then I rush down the steps, catching Ashlyn and Karen on the living room couch. "I'm heading out to the Elven Kingdom, girls."

"Have fun," Ashlyn raises her hand for a few seconds. "I'm sure all the boys will be happy to see you."

Karen turns around to look at me. "Wow, you look so pretty. Your hair is super cute too."

"Thank you, Karen," I widely smile. "I'm sure that a certain princess would be all over me right now because of this new look that I am trying out. Princess Rosa is grieving just like I am, so she needs to change things up. I'll be back in time for dinner, so don't start eating without me."

The doorbell rings, cutting off our conversation, though I doubt it was going to go for much longer. Without another word, I rush to the front room, slip my cute short boots on, and then swing the door open.

"King Kyle," I gasp, quickly curtsying to the boy in front of me.

Kyle chuckles, "Who did you think was coming to get you?"

"Warrior Stan told me he was," I straighten up, stepping outside and closing the door behind me.

"And what kind of king would I be if I didn't come to get the beloved princess myself?" He holds his arm out for me to grab.

"I just thought you would be busy, and coming to get me would be a waste of time," I link my arm with his. "It is nice to see you."

"I have been waiting see you, and now that I stand next to you, I cannot explain what I am feeling."

The two of us begin the short journey to Kyle's house. I feel like I can forget about the real world for a few hours while I drown myself in a character that I have created. A princess that is almost fully me, but she gets to live in a world of magic. A princess that lost her true love, but she still has to go on as there are tasks that need to get done. This might be the last summer that this world comes to life, so we need to make the most of it.

"Has anything important happened since I have been gone?" I ask. "I've been reading about dark magic, and I know that I shouldn't, and that most people refuse to acknowledge the form of magic, but my heart is broken."

"Nothing drastic has happened, other than deciding how we are going to deal with the Klan," Kyle shakes his head. "Clyde and his Army of Darkness are ready when we are to take the Stick, but then we can't decide who gets to keep the Stick."

"If I can just figure out this one spell, I can take the power from the Stick, then no one will be fighting for that stupid thing."

"You are going to go mad with dark magic. What would you do with the power that the Stick has?"

"I think that my mind is stronger than you think, my king," I tease. "The Stick has immense power, and if I die taking it to get these stupid wars to stop, then I feel like it will be a good use of what I am able to do. First though, I want to see if I can bring someone back."
