I know, I should be more excited. Four weeks in a log cabin; my "home away from home".
I shove my suitcase into the car, my keys jingling in my hand. The heat of the summer makes my curly hair stick to my neck and the mosquitos buzz around my sunscreened legs.
I'll admit, I'm really excited to see all of the cheesy arts and crafts projects, camp food, and to become friends with my group of kids. I can't wait to take in the fresh air of the woods.
I slide into my car and wave to my mom one last time for the summer.
"Give the boys a kiss for me!" I call to my mom and she nods, waving excitingly. 'The boys' meaning my two little brothers, Matt and Ryan. She blows me a kiss and I start my car.
"Well, this is gonna be fun. At least, I hope so." I sigh as I pull out of the drive way.
