Carmela turned over. The surface was different than her bed. But then all the memories from last night came crashing back to her.

Oh. Right.

Tae.

She opened her eyes, squinting against the sunlight coming through the tall curtains of the large window, and her heart leaped. He was sleeping right next to her on the couch, a hand over his torso, his rosy lips parted a little, his dark hair in a mess of wavy curls. He looked perfect to her. Carmela smiled and stroked his cheek softly with a finger, gazing at him. She didn't how she had fallen so deeply for him. But bit by bit... word after word, she had fallen in love with him. With the boy she had named Curly Haired Asshole as her phone contact.

Smiling to herself, she slowly got up, untangling her legs from his. She scooted off the couch carefully, trying not to wake him.

"Ah..." She yawned as she walked into the bathroom, washing up. She stayed in her pajamas though. There was no work today. The choreography was finished. Now they just needed to practice for the performance next week. Well, the boys did, but Carmela had made up her mind to help them. She was their choreographer, but she wanted to help her friends in any way she could. It was their first performance, after all. Their big debut.

The kitchen was tidy and clean, and Carmela paced around it, debating what to make. Aunt Kass makes it look so easy.

But then she heard a familiar ringtone sound from the hallway. Someone was calling her on her phone. Carmela sighed and glanced at Tae still sleeping on the couch in the living room, before walking back to her room. She grabbed her phone of the desk and looked at the caller, puzzled.

*Heather*

"Hey, Heather. What's--"

"C-Carmela? Please, hurry. Come quickly--" Heather's voice was a mixture of sobs and whispers as she frantically spoke. Carmela shivered with fear and confusion.

"W-what's wrong? Come where?" She stammered.

"Oh I still can't believe it... just come... just come to the hospital. Now!"

"The hospital? W-why, what happened?! Heather? Hello? Hello? Fuck!"  Carmela clutched her hair, and tried to calm her quickening breaths. Then she dialed Heather's number again. But she didn't pick up. Not even the second time.

"What the hell..." Carmela rushed out of the room, about to shout Tae awake, when the doorbell rang. It rang again and again, impatiently.

"Huh?" She hurried to the front door. There was a blur of blue or black behind the thick foggy strip of glass on one side of the door. Who the hell...

Carmela opened the door, and she narrowed her eyes in confusion.

There were two policemen at her front door, peering at her with hard faces. There was a blue and red flashing car badly parked on the driveway.

"Hello Ms. Lee. My name is Officer Andrew and this here is Officer Kazim. We are backup policemen from the CPD and--" A short policeman with a round belly and grey hair spoke.

"Wait, how do you know my name? What's going on?"

"Well, m'aam, we have evidence that you may have certain knowledge that we are in dire need of. It's really important that you cooperate truthfully. This is for the safety of all citizens, and we are here to protect you and your loved ones--"

"Okay, great and all, but what do you want from me?" She asked.

The taller man spoke up, Officer Kazim.
