Carmela leaned back against the booth, closing her eyes. The coffee mug in front of her was empty; she'd basically inhaled the caffiene.
"This is messed up. Assholes..." Hosi sighed deeply next to her, ruffling his hair.
They were side by side, alone in the booth.
"Do you wanna leave?" Carmela turned to him.
"Sure."
They exited the restaurant after quickly paying, and proceeded down the sidewalk. The air was chilly and the pavement was littered with dry leaves as they stepped forwards together.
"Hosi?" Carmela looked up at the boy next to her.
"Yeah?"
"Why did... why did the boys act so chill with me at first, when they were clearly against me?"
"Carmela." He smiled sadly. "Your best friend died, and Yoon died too. Like Jimin said, they were here to offer comfort that's it."
"Oh. So they were basically being fake? Even Jungkook?"
"He's young, he doesn't know too much about these things. But I don't know if they were being fake. Just stay away from them."
"Hm."
"Ever wonder why you never got a call or visit from any of the other boys, except for me?"
"Why?"
"Because they knew you'd believe in the truth. They knew you'd hate Tae and want him behind bars."
"I never understood... I thought they were on the side of the truth. I thought they would support me and you and Jules."
"They just don't believe us, they're on Tae's side.
"So they don't believe that Tae raped her that night."
"Right. They let that fucking bastard out too." Hosi fisted his hand.
"So what happened? Why did Jimin act like that all of sudden?"
"Because, Carmela, then... then you started talking about Taehyung like that, and it seemed like you were gonna put him into trouble. And you can't do that. The boys... they won't let you. Or me."
"I'm still gonna figure out a way to solve this."
"You are?"
"I can't let him get away with this. I can't let them get away with this. I'm almost certain Jimin knows the truth. He literally said that even if Tae did do it, he wouldn't leave him."
"Just... be careful." Hosi glanced at her, eyes full of worry. She gazed back at him, a warm sensation suddenly blooming inside of her heart.
"Hosi?"
"Hm?"
"Thanks for staying with me."
He laughed. Carmela frowned in confusion.
"Yo, why are you laughing?" She snapped.
"Because. I'm just thinking about what I get in return for staying with you."
"Nope. Uh uh, not happening. Just no."
"Come on, I got an idea in mind!"
"Hosi, shut up or you're gonna get beat again." She sped up.
"Carmela, please... it's just one little touch! It looks so soft!" He whined, following.
"My hair, is my hair! GO AWAY."
