The tune of the pop song on the radio was flowing through the bass of the car. The mood was surprisingly light. Hosi would occasionally make this dumb ass joke and Carmela would smack him in the face again, while JK would be laughing the entire time. Jimin was singing along to the song and Jin was fixing his hair or face or whatever in his phone camera.Suddenly, Jimin shut off the music.
"Hey, guys?" He called, looking up at the mirror to see Carmela, Hosi and Jungkook in the back seats.
"Yeah?" Carmela said, in the middle of shoving Hosi's hands off her hair.
"Just lemme feel!" He whined.
"Do you wanna get smacked again?" She snapped, raising her hand.
Hosi shrunk away from her, as Carmela cleared her throat and turned to Jimin.
"Sorry Jimin. What were you saying?"
"I... um, just wanted to say..." He stammered.
"Huh? What's wrong?"
"Just... when we get there... to the cafe... y'all be prepared."
Carmela furrowed her brows in confusion.
"Bro, what're you talking about?" Hosi asked, chewing gum and leaning forwards.
"Nothing. Let's just have breakfast and spend the day nicely together." Jin spoke up. He gave Jimin a hard look, shaking his head.
"Guys? What's going on--" Carmela started.
"And we're here! Everyone out!" Jimin called, parking the car in the empty lot of the cheap restauraunt.
Carmela, Hosi and Jungkook exchanged wierd looks as Jin and Jimin got out of the car. Jungkook shrugged and joined them outside.
"What the hell..." Hosi muttered, before he opened his door and leapt out too.
Carmela scooted over and closer to Hosi's door, about to step off. But Hosi held his hand out in front of her face. She looked up at him, raising her eyebrows.
"Seriously? I can get out of a car myself, thanks." She scoffed.
"Let me help you... I just wanna make it up to you." He smiled.
"I don't need you to make it up to me! Hosi, move so I can get out." Carmela groaned.
"Carmela, just take my hand... please."
"I don't wanna do this right now, Hosi--"
"Please... I'm dying for you, Carmela... stop doing this to me--"
"Hosi!" She glared at his hurt eyes. "This is just like last time! I thought you were trying to make it up to me now."
"I am! That's what I'm doing! Just take my hand." He pleaded, standing closer to her seated in the car.
"Hosi, I said I don't wanna do this, stop for--"
"Please, Carmela..."
"No! Get out of the way, move!"
"Just take my damn hand--"
"NO! GET OUT OF THE WAY--"
"Carmela, please! Stop killing me like this babe--"
"HEY!"
They both froze at the shout behind them.
"She said she doesn't need your damn help."
A deep, growling voice rattled the insides of Carmela's heart, and her breaths tightened.
No--
H-how...
Hosi froze. His fingers twitched before he withdrew his hand. A cold snarl appeared on his face, and he slowly turned around.
Carmela tried to peer around Hosi, but she couldn't see past the back of his body blocking the car doorway.
"Y-you... what do you think you're doing? How the hell do you think you can just COME HERE, HUH?!" Hosi screamed, his voice shaking.
Carmela put two hands on his back and pushed him out of the way. Then she leapt out of the car, blood pounding through her ears.
She stood on the pavement of the parking lot, the cold wind blowing her hair into her eyes.
And there he was.
Right there.
