what you are about to read does not concern the events of this story; however, i would still recommend you read this, as it gives insights and what i hope can help you have a better understanding of the couple dynamics within the au.
before starting, i had many doubts and uncertainties about which way I should go with this story: at one moment, i even questioned if i should include any ships at all; but then i thought of how much i love reading cute couple fanfics, and eventually yielded in.
what was holding me back, is that i did not want to stigmatize, sexualize or make any idol uncomfortable through my words
(the chances of any idol reading this are very low and almost unexistent, obviously, but mine was more a principle than anything else).
because after all, no matter how wide our creativity may be and how far it may travel, these are things that, unless stated, we can't know. who am i to arrogate the right of claiming what one's love intrests might be?
in the end, as i have said, i decided to still include (very few) ships, because i know how fun and exciting it can be to read stories/aus including them. but my choice therefore comes with an inevitable disclaimer:

groups are created most of the time in ways that get the members to get to know and appreciate one another equally.
when a ship is born,

and the moments of said ship suddenly start increasing, it's probably the company making good use of the situation.
please understand that idols are strictly monitored and not all we see of them actually corresponds to reality).
