Lance sat at his desk and thought about how him and Pidge grew appart since Keith came. He texted the girl asking if she wanted to play video games. She said she'd come over later.

He got back up and went downstairs for lunch. Keith was sitting at the dinner table with a plate and his cellphone in hand. Lance grabbed some leftovers and put them in the microwave. He leaned on the counter and looked at Keith.

"So, what did you think about the office?" He asked. Keith looked up and nodded.

"Yeah it was good" he smiled and went back to his food. Lance's food was ready and he sat down next to Keith. He started eating and Keith looked at him confused.
"You never sit next to me. Why now?"
Lance looked at him. He really had no idea why. He shrugged and went back to his food.

Keith still didn't know why Lance would sit next to him but he liked to think it was because they were starting to be friends. He smiled at that thought.

"Pidge is coming over later" Lance said, not looking up from his plate.

"Really?"

"Yeah, we're gonna play video games. You can join if you want" Lance said.

"Hm, I don't know, I was planning on going to the park" Keith said.

"The park. What are you? 5?" Lance teased. He laughed and Keith just smiled.

"I'm was just going to draw or something"

"You draw?" Lance was surprised. His eyes were wide open and he looked at Keith.

"A little bit"

"You've got to show me!" His eyes looked like they were filled with stars, the blue colour was more noticeable with the light that were shining on them. They were beautiful.

"No thank you, I keep my drawings to myself" he smiled a little bit and looked down. It was true, he did keep his drawings to himself. He didn't need that kind of attention, wether it was positive or that look his friend gave him last year when he showed him a drawing.

"Why though? I bet you're amazing!" Lance gave him puppy dog eyes and Keith rolled his eyes.

"I won't, maybe on your birthday I'll draw something for you" Keith said. Lance pouted and looked at Keith as if he was begging him.

"But that's in like, 50 days!" Lance seemed sad and really disappointed.

"Then you'll have to wait" Keith gave him a smile and put his stuff in his black backpack decorated with pins before smiling again and leaving.

Lance couldn't lie, he was a bit sad. Why wouldn't Keith give him one look? Lance cared about Keith and he wanted him to trust him, but he couldn't help but feel there was something deeper to this. Trust issues? Maybe.  Lance didn't know but wanted to. He wanted to understand. It was hard though, I mean, what would you do if your childhood best friend didn't even remember you?

Lance remembered him. He remembered playing barbies. He remembered putting on his sister's dress and pretending to marry Keith. He remembered when they would play monkeys to lady Gaga in Lance's grandma's back yard. He remembered everything. He remembered how much he cared for Keith.
His best friend.

His best friend didn't even remember him.

Keith was an important part in Lance's past and present. Wether he liked it or not, they lived together.

But he was jealous. Lance was jealous because Keith and all the attention from everyone. His mom, his teachers, his friends, even his siblings. Isabella, Lance's niece would always want to play with him, and so did Alexia, and Mateo. He was the new favourite.
