Roman nodded, agreeing with the statement. But a frown spread upon his face at the sentence. He didn't know why it hurt more when Virgil said it. It wasn't like they were very close, so why?

Why did Roman feel like he had to make it up to Virgil? Why did he feel like he actually was an idiot? Why did he feel more ashamed of himself than when Logan said it? Just, why?

Virgil spared a glance at Roman, and sighed as he saw his expression. "Well, a hot idiot. But an idiot nonetheless." He decided to say, and smirked when Roman's face instantly got red, and the frown disappeared slightly.

Roman tried his best to say some more, but the only things that managed to come out was incoherent stutters. He was feeling way too flustered to speak. Yes, Virgil had once more called him an idiot. But he had also called him hot.

And that made Roman very very flustered. He peeked up at Virgil, who was smirking playfully at him. And the definitely didn't help. Roman felt his face become even redder.

Because holy shit, Virgil was attractive as hell. Roman was pretty sure that he would have never thought that he would be in the situation he was now in.

Gay panicking about an extremely hot vampire, who was apparently royalty, and who had taken s liking to making him flustered.

He let out a sigh that sounded a little like he was being strangled by cupid.

Wouldn't that be Amor for Virgil? Roman couldn't tell. He should probably brush up on Roman and Greek mythology.

Virgil gave Roman about two minutes to calm down, before he asked, "You said you saw some men. Can you describe them?" Roman nodded. "Yes. At least, kind of. It was dark, and one of them was standing in the shadows."

Virgil nodded in understanding. "Well, try." He said, a bit encouragingly, which made Roman want to say everything he knew, and more. Which was weird. How was Virgil able to make his mood change so easily, just with the use of his voice?

"Well, one of them was called Remy, and he was wearing a leather jacket, and sunglasses. I also think he had long hair, but I'm not sure. They both had British accents. They called Patton and Logan prey, and said that their "boss" would be chuffed with their work."

Virgil seemed to be deep in thought for a moment, and then asked. "Are you sure that they didn't say Lord instead of boss?" Roman nodded. "Yes. I'm sure." He answered, wondering why they would have said Lord.

Virgil nodded, a bit absentmindedly, Roman noted. "Did they mention any other people?" He asked, and now it was Roman's turn to take a moment to think. "Yeah... A Kath and a Bea. I think they're short for the names of some people." Virgil nodded again.

"Do you mind if I stop the car for a second? I have to go make a call." Roman raised an eyebrow, now wondering who he was going to call. "No, I don't."

Virgil parked the car in the side of the road, and took out his phone, which had a purple and black tartan phone case.

For some reason, Virgil stepped out of the car to make his call. And in the sparse moonlight (the clouds had cleared a little), Roman could see him dial a number, and hold his phone to his ear.

Roman couldn't hear what was going on, until Virgil began to raise his voice. Then, Roman couldn't faintly hear him saying some things in what sounded like French. Or maybe it was German. Roman wasn't good at languages.

Soon enough, Virgil took the phone away from his ear, with an angered look on his face. He came back into the car, and slammed the car door.

"Good news, I know where you're friends is. Bad news, Marlene wants a kiss from me before she frees them." He said, making Roman very confused. "Who's Marlene? And why a kiss?" For some reason, Roman found himself gating the woman in question already. He was sure that it was because she had taken his friends, and nothing else.

Virgil sighed, and leaned his forehead on the steering wheel. "Marlene is a female vampire who has been trying to get with me since 1664. I have always refused her advances. And I'm sure she'll coat her lips in love potion, just to finally get with me." He explained. And Roman's hatred for the woman got even more intense.

"Is there an antidote for the love potion?" He decided to ask. Virgil nodded slightly, which lead to him hitting his head against the steering wheel. He didn't even seem to notice it. "Yeah, there is. But it's a kiss from another person within the five minutes it takes for the potion to kick in. It's kind of weird, really."

Roman spoke before he had thought about his words. It was a bad habit of his. "Well, then we go in there, and after she's kissed you, I kiss you. Simple as that." Only after saying it, he realised just what he had said, and a crimson began to spread on his cheeks once more.

Virgil chuckled, leaning his head so he was looking at Roman again. "That's not a very bad plan, Pretty Boy." He remarked, and Roman only blushed harder at the nickname.

Virgil pursed his lips slightly, and Roman almost looked into his eyes again. He wondered if he should just do that instead of listening to Virgil's next words. It could spare him from further embarrassment. But, it seemed that Virgil had gotten an idea of what he was going to do, and closed his eyes.

Roman bit his lip slightly, and managed a quiet "t-thanks." Much to Virgil's amusement.

Virgil started the car again, and sat up properly. He looked out into the night for a moment, and then asked. "What do you say about spending the night at my place? It's not that far, and you seem rather tired. We can get your friends tomorrow evening."

Roman took some time to think about it. He wouldn't mind spending some more time with Virgil, for some reason. And he had been wondering how the two thousand years old vampire lived. Besides, he would also much rather spend the night in an actual bed, rather than most of it in his small car.

He nodded. "I wouldn't mind that." He decided on. Virgil nodded, with a small smirk. "Alright. But just so you're warned, Dio hasn't had much to eat for the last few days, and I'm sure that Hermes found his way out of his cage." Roman raised an eyebrow. He was sure that they were Virgil's pets, but that lead him to wonder what kind of pets he had.

Roman shrugged, and looked out the window, watching the trees go by.
