In which Jake and I settle terms for him living in my apartment. Which was hard, not going to lie. Due to the fact he is the living embodiment of what I would call my perfect man, I had to stop myself from giving him whatever he wanted.
Which wasn't much. Guy barely noticed my probably very copious amounts of drool.

"So how was your day at work?" Jake's cheery voice made me stare at my front door. I was stupid. A complete idiot. I was supposed to be kicking him out. Instead I let him in like some dumbass bimbo.
I let out a sigh, there was little I could do about it now. "It was fine. The usual creeper came in though." I moved down the hall and flicked on the light. The blackout curtains were pulled closed tight, like I had left them this morning.
Jake wrinkled his nose from his position beside the kitchen table, his arms crossing over his chest. "What? Some dude is creeping on you? Not cool." He shook his head at that and I raised an eyebrow at him as I put my purse down on my counter.
"Says the guy who crawled into my bedroom through the window at three in the morning." I gave him a look and he admittedly looked sheepish as he ran his hand through his hair, causing it to stick up everywhere.
"I really am sorry about that. At least you gotta wicked cool story out of it." He gave me a sheepish smile that made my heart turn over in my chest. Fuck was I a sucker for blue eyes blondies.
"Yah, a story I can't tell anyone. There is no fun in that." I couldn't tell anyone that a baby vampire fell into my room because he was trying to practice being a vampire and I just happened to be the unfortunate victim who had their window open on his six story climb. Trisha for sure would sign me up to be committed. After my trip into bigfoot territory there was no question about what she would end up doing to me for it.
"Yah, that does suck. I didn't think about that. My bad, dude." At the word I narrowed my eyes at him, setting my jaw.
"Sammi, Jake. It's Sammi." He could literally call me anything but dude. Anything but dude. I repressed the shudder I got at the reminder of my old frat friend.
"My bad, Sammi." He once again looked sheepish and I shook my head slightly as I headed for my bedroom. I could hear him following me and I repressed the urge to tell him to fuck off. Apparently I was in a slight mood. I could only blame myself. Baby vamp gave me one soft hug and I melted like butter. Not to mention the dirty, dirty thoughts my libido was sending me. However that was a me problem and not a him problem. "Thanks again for letting me stay, Sammi. I really, really, really appreciate it. Like seriously." At the words I swiped my phone from my bedside table and turned around.
"About that. If you are staying here, there needs to be an agreement in place." I pointed at him with my phone. I might have melted like butter over one hug but that didn't mean he had a carte blanche to do as he wished.
He nodded hastily, walking backwards in front of me as I moved out of my room. "Totally. I'm with you a hundred percent!" He grinned at me and my heart gave that stupid fluttering lurch at it and I mentally slapped my libido.
"Rule one. No biting." I was making that firm. There would be no vampire biting in the apartment while he was round.
"Sounds good. Unless you really want me too." He wiggled his eyebrows at me and my libido soared as my brain flatlined and I was reduced to blinking at him. Images of his teeth scraping across my skin as he stroked me flashed rapidly through my brain, causing me to shudder slightly as my libido heated up. I was speechless and not sure how to respond to that. Jake chuckled as he looked at me. "That was a joke, Sammi." He shifted on his feet and grinned once more.
