Author's Note:

This Story is still in process, so you might encounter a lot of errors, typographical errors and grammatical errors. Some of the phrases were written in Hangul (Korean Language), so you might encounter some error with them as well. Your Author was born in the Philippines, which means i'm not fluent in Korean, but I will definitely study and learn it.

Disclaimer:

This is my first time writing a Story. Y'all might get a notification about an update but see the same chapter, which means I made revisions to some parts.

The characters' information or personalities were created by my crazy mind. This means they are not entirely the same as #TWICE's personal backgrounds, especially their families. I hope you all understand.

THANK YOU.

"Mom I gotta go." I said while rushing down the stairs after getting dressed.

I went down to the kitchen and saw Mom preparing our breakfast. I felt bad that I wouldn't be able to sit or at least eat breakfast with her. I just took a sip of water from the glass on the kitchen counter.

"Mom I'm sorry but I should go, I don't want to be in trouble in the first day of class." I said as I kissed her cheek. I did not wait for her answer and hurriedly went outside to my car.

"Can't you at least take a small bite before you leave? It is bad for your health! You are not supposed to leave on an empty stomach!" She shouted from the kitchen, loud enough for me to hear.

I was about halfway to our door when I realized that I didn't have my car key. But before I could turn around to get it, I saw my Mom holding the car key on her left hand while raising it in the air. In her other hand was a sandwich that she had packed for me.

I smiled at her, took the car key and sandwich from her, kissed her cheek again and bid her goodbye.

While on my way to school, I finished my sandwich in no time. God knows how I even managed to eat it while driving, but I did it safely. Even though I was in a rush, I still managed to drive as carefully as I could. I am always careful—EXTRA CAREFUL—especially when it comes to driving.

Which, ironically, made me late for the first day of school.

I am a college student at International University of Korea. I ended up here because my parents decided to move and live here for good. It was a year ago. Well, at first, I was against the idea of moving here. You can't blame me, though, I was born in Texas and raised in Japan, complicated right?

Well, I am used to it—adapting to a new environment, meeting new people, and especially learning the culture and the language. Those were my biggest challenges. I had a hard time during the process at first, but because of the humiliation I went through the moment I set foot on that school, it motivated me to learn hanguel.

FLASHBACK

"You've been living in Japan, were born in Texas, and learned those languages, but it is hard for you to learn hanguel? 바보(stupid)!!!"

Then that person pushed me out of her way, causing me to stumble and lose my balance. When I looked behind me, there were other students pointing at me and laughing.

END OF FLASHBACK

I shrugged those thoughts off and realized that I was already in front of our University. I thought it might take at least an hour to get there, but I was wrong.
