"i don't want you getting hurt, or worse killed"
______
1943
After a few days to two weeks of resting at the camp, making sure that they were all back to good physical health, Winnie along with the other Howling Commandos set off for their journey to destroy all HYDRA camps in America.
It took a lot of persuasions to let the White girl come along on their trip because Bucky being the protective fiancé he was didn't want to let her get hurt. But eventually, with Steve and Winnie coming together, they were able to convince him and get on board.
Now here they all were at the first HYDRA base getting ready to blow the place to pieces. Was it necessary to do so? Yes. Why? Because it looks epic - and it gets rid of the bad guys or whatever.
Winnie was in the middle of grabbing a gun from the box full of weapons when she felt a pair of anxious eyes on her. Letting out a sigh because she knew who it was, the White girl turned on her heel to face said person.
"What's wrong, Bucky?" she asked in a fed-up way as the girl placed the gun in one of her holsters
"Nothing, Wins," Bucky answered as he turned towards the weapons box to retrieve his gun.
The White girl knew it was anything but nothing. She knew it was because she was coming with them on this dangerous mission. After all, he had been even more protective ever since she accepted go come along.
"Oh come on, I know you are still wary about me coming with you on this mission," Winnie sighed, grabbing another gun. "You know I'll be okay, you've seen me use a gun before and I've got you to look after me with your sniper!"
Bucky ran a hand through his hair, tugging at it a little bit before looking back at Winnie, "What do you want me to say, Wins? That I'm perfectly okay with you risking your life for this? Huh? Is that what you want me to say?!"
Winnie opened her mouth to say something but the words got caught in her throat. Ultimately, the girl closed her mouth and looked down at the ground.
"Winnie, I love you so much, so much that I can't even bear the thought of losing you," the Barnes boy sighed.
The White girl threw her hands up into the air, "And you think I can?! I don't want to lose you either--no forget that I can't lose you! Bucky if you were to die, I don't know how I would be able to live my life."
