Den's POV

I'm sitting on my swivel chair while reading the reports. The construction of our new mall will start. We just need to finalize the design. So, now I'm meeting the Architect that's working in our Architecture Firm.

"Den, the Architect is here." Jema informed me when she entered my office.

I told her to prepare something like juice and snacks. Then she let the Architect enter. I smiled when I saw him.

"Hello... Dennise?" He said.

"Yes, Marasigan."

"Uhm. You're the President?" I know he's shock.

"Let me introduce myself. Dennise Michelle Lazaro, ARVLDZ Malls President." I said then I offered my hand.

He hesitantly accepted it then we shook our hands. Matapos ng handshake, naupo na ako. I also offered him to take a seat. He started presenting me his works.

"Ah. Hmm. I like this one." I said pointing to the blueprint that I saw.

I look at him and he's staring at me.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"I just can't believe it."

"I see. You still think of me as a gold digger." I said.

He shook his head.

"I'm just shock."

Because he can't even focus, I dismissed him. Oras ng trabaho, kung saan saan nakatuon yung atensyon. I called Jema to enter my office.

"Jema, schedule another Architect and make sure the Architect is professional."

"Why, Den?" She asks.

"Ysay's not professional. His mind is drifting off to somewhere." I said.

"Okay, I will make sure Den." She said.

She gave me a cup of coffee.

"Thank you, Jema." I said then sat on my swivel chair again.

I saw that Aly is calling me on face time. I answered it. He's on his bed. I glance at my wristwatch. It's already 3pm here, probably it's just 10 am in Russia.

"Hindi ka pumasok?"

"No. It's so cold in here. I'm not feeling well."

"Aly, you've been sick for a week now. Are you sure you're resting?" I ask.

He nods his head.

"Magpa check up ka na kaya?" I said.

"Hmm. The doctor said it's just flu. Anyway, how's your meeting with the architect?"

"Ah, yeah. I dismissed him earlier. I requested for another Architect."

"Why?"

"Well, he's one of Chen's friends so I understand that he's shock to see me again, but damn, his mind drifts somewhere, maybe on another planet. So? I had no choice but to request for another." I explained.

I heard him hummed. He looks really tired.

"Baby, I think you should sleep."

"You'll be busy again later." He said.

"Alright. Let's not disconnect the call. I'll watch you sleep." I said.

He sighed then he hugs his pillow while he's looking at me. I'm also looking at him. He smiled at me.

"Den, I love you."

"I love you, too." I said then kissed the screen.

Later on, Aly started yawning then he's asleep. I can hear his snores. I hope he gets better. I muted my audio so that Aly won't wake up because of the noise in here.

"Den, Ruel asks for an update about the project."

"Ah. Tell him we're working for the design."

"Okay, I'll inform him."

She then walks out of my office. I took a glance at Aly and then continued reading the papers that Jema gave earlier.
