Den's POV

I'm staying at home. Today's my day off.

"Oh, you want me to call a food delivery?" I asked Chen.

Kauuwi niya lang.

"No need. Anyway, we need to talk." He seriously said.

"Sure. What is it?"

"Let's end this." He said.

"End what?" I said.

"Let's break up. Wala ng pupuntahan 'to."

"Tell me you're joking?"

"No. I'm serious."

"Come on, stop it. Di nakakatuwa yung joke mo."

"But I ain't joking. I think this is for the better. We're not growing together. I'm not happy, being with you is like a routine. Wake up, Dennise, Eat, School, Dennise, go home, sleep. Nothing's new, nothing excites me. We always fight. Wala ng araw na hindi tayo nag aaway. I'm tired of that." He continuously said.

"Okay... Do you really want that?" I asked.

"Y-yes. Please let me be happy."

"S-sure. If that's what you really want. I'm sorry if I made you feel like that. I hope you find your happiness. So, when are you leaving?" I tried to smile.

I can't do anything if Chen's pleading already. I can't fight for him now. He just made me realize that I should stop fighting for us.

"I'll leave tomorrow. I'll start packing my things now." He said.

I offered to help him for the last time, he accepted it.

"Thank you, Dennise. For doing this for me. Even though I know that your heart is breaking." He said.

You fucking jerk. Yes, my heart is breaking. I took a glance at the ring he gave me. He said that this is our promise ring. That he will be with me all the time, achieving our goals together.

"I just hope that letting you go will make you happy." I didn't realize that my tears started to fall.

He hugged me and tried to hush me.

"Come on. Don't cry."

"I-I just can't believe that w-we will come to a-an end." I said crying.

"It breaks my heart seeing you like this. Don't cry." He still hugging me.

"I-If it breaks your heart, t-then don't leave. I-I'll forget about this night. I c-can't live without you..." I buried my face on his chest.

He sighed then rubs my back.

"Dennise, we can't... Let's be happy please. It's really impossible for us to be happy if we're together." He said.

"W-why? W-we're happy back then. You love me, I love you. Th-that's what makes us happy. B-being together."

"I got tired, Den. I just realize that. My parents doesn't agree to us but we still stayed together. I can't be with you, you're the one who's fighting for us. I'm really sorry." He said then he broke our hug.

He wipe my tears then left. I'm left alone. Crying while hugging my knees. I just can't let him go. Siya nalang yung taong mayroon ako, and now I'm losing him.
