My World

Between Heaven and Earth
Is where the sky meets the sea
In solitude and solace
Beneath the willow tree

In spite of time
The ashes, they fall
Like a ripple effect of
Ink on paper
It begins when I'm gone

Just like sandalwood
In a winter valley
The world stops
Short of the ground
And I know what's coming

Something to say
A whisper in my ear
Now begins the eclipse
I'll be right here

From dusk till dawn
I'm never alone
You keep me up
Voices ringing like a telephone

Hour after midnight
Still thinking about you
Don't know how to stop it
But it'll bleed through

In spite of time
My pace is slow
As I count the steps
That take me home
