When the darkness slips through me
Intertwining with my own skin
Which feels rough and cold
As if devoid from any soul,
I hide.
The darkness overcomes me
Destroys me
Burns me
Mortalises me
Into a slump of flesh and skin
I hide.
It wears me like a coat
Working its way
Into my mind
Loneliness grips me away
And just when I thought I felt nothing,
Everything came onto me
And now I'm walking
Maybe I'm flying
Maybe I'm the only one...
Or maybe everyone's hiding.
