It makes you cry
Tears falling down
Like rain on my window
It hides in the shadows
Ready to pounce
Life is a lie
Until we get trapped
Just like quicksand
I try to fight back
Panic and despair
Lost it all in minutes
Relax and rest in peace
At least I can delay it
Or I can hope to be saved
Wait for someone to call out my name
Or I can hold on to your hand
And wait for it all to end
