chapter eleven - new york, new york
gold called in his favour. emma and ophelia were to go with him and help him find someone. he wouldn't tell them who, however, something that made ophelia pretty cautious. not that she had a choice in whether she went or not, she owed him.
he left them to pack and ready themselves before returning after ophelia did just that, throwing in a quick nap (and texting regina that they were leaving).
she had consumed more caffeine than she should have and was ready with a small suitcase of clothes. she was drinking yet another coffee when gold knocked on the door for the second time that day. ophelia had phoned regina once more, trying to let her know what was happening. she left the woman a quick message to tell her they went on a trip with henry and that they'd be back in a few days. she was still his mother. she deserved to know.
ophelia stood, grabbing her suitcase and making her way towards emma as gold prompted them to leave.
henry, suitcase in hand, entered the main area of the apartment, "do you think we'll be cold where we're going, or warm?"
"i think layers are always a good idea," emma answered.
"i thought the terms of our agreement were quite clear. you owe me a favour—you two alone," gold reminded.
"i'm not leaving henry here with cora lurking about, so either we all go, or we all stay," emma fought.
gold considered the situation for a few seconds before giving in. "then, we'll have to purchase another plane ticket, won't we?"
"wait. we're flying?"
"don't worry, i'm covering expenses. even the new ones," gold informed.
"well, never turn down money from a rich person, that's what i always say," ophelia announced.
"you're a real gentleman, aren't you?" david seethed. "alright, gold, you're going out there with my family. just know, if anything happens to them—"
"then you'll what? cross the town line? and davd nolan will hunt me down in his animal rescue van?" gold mocked.
"i'll be devastated. this isn't a threat. it's a request. take care of them," david pleaded.
ophelia reluctantly hugged mary margaret goodbye, cringing slightly at the physical contact.
"i promise no harm will come to your family. after all, we have a deal," gold agreed.

gold, wearing his shawl around his neck, was driving the three. henry and ophelia sat in the back, while emma was in the passenger seat. he was giving them very few details about where they were actually going but honestly, ophelia was slightly more worried about him forgetting he was rumplestilskin.
