two - shrek

ophelia did not want to wake up and immediately be dragged along by a horse in the enchanted forest. in fact, she didn't want to even be in the enchanted forest. that stupid wraith. why'd she have to get pulled through a portal to a land that shouldn't exist?

two women rode along, holding them hostage. although, there were three horses, and ophelia couldn't help but wonder what had happened to the third rider. she listened in as they spoke, learning that they were aurora and mulan. she scoffed quietly, of course they were.

she stumbled alongside emma and mary margaret before they stopped.

"what is this place?" mary margaret called out.

"our home," mulan replied.

finally, they arrived at their destination, a small camp. ophelia glanced around, her stomach dropping at the sight, they were exiled from their own land because of the curse, surviving but not really living.

"it's like they're refugees," emma voiced.

"we're survivors," mulan fought.

they continued forward until snow kneed the meeker one in the stomach, aurora. ophelia winced, feeling bad for the woman.

"emma, ophelia, run," she yelled.

despite not wanting to run at all, ophelia did as she said but stopped when she noticed their mom wasn't following. she'd fallen to the ground. she knelt beside her to check she was okay. the twins flipped her onto her back, checking she was breathing.

"what did you do?" emma demanded.

"take them to the pit," mulan ordered, ignoring their questions.

the three were dragged and thrown into a dungeon of sorts. ophelia kicked the guard dragging her in the shin, hoping it would at least bruise.

"i can fucking walk myself," she exclaimed, waving her arms in the hopes she'd also elbow them. "and be careful with her." she gestured to an unconscious mary margaret.

emma shook the woman as if it would suddenly wake her.

"do you need help?" a voice questioned from the shadows.

"who are you?" emma questioned.

"a friend," she reassured. "my name's cora." she emerged from the shadows, sending them a friendly smile.

she offered to check on mary margaret for the pair, to which they agreed, worried about the woman.

"you sure she's going to be okay?" emma asked.

"don't worry. she'll be fine," cora comforted.

ophelia stared at the woman, not quite trusting her, "what is this place? where are we?" her eyes trailed to the hole in the ceiling.
