Me: I'm leaving for school a little early today, so you won't see me on your way there
🥦Brocolli Boi🥦: Alright! See you at school!
I dug through my Uno box and found a red reverse card, I quickly stuffed it in my skirt pocket, which is so nice to have, and headed for the door.
"Bye dad! See you tonight!"
"Have a good day at school!" My dad called from the kitchen.
"I'll try!" I left and took a small detour from how I normally get to the train station. Instead of going directly there, I headed in the general direction of Katsuki's house.
It wasn't too long until I spotted him, so I shadow traveled right behind him, "Hi Katsuki!"
He jumped back a little and sparks flew from his fingers. "What the hell Shady."
"I dunno, just felt like it." I smiled and kept walking, I hope my little scheme works.
"Oh fuck off, Shady." He scoffed and slouched his back.
"No you." I readied my hand on the card in my pocket.
"The hell, I told you yesterday." He sighed in disbelief, "you're such a dumbass, this isn't a game of fucking Uno."
I pulled out the reverse card I had stored in my pocket and waved it in front of his face, "It is now!"

"What?" He started to run after me and I couldn't help but laugh at his reaction. "Hey get back here!"
"No way!" He was gaining on me, but I was still having a good time teasing him.
We eventually got to the train station, out of breath from him chasing me. "Well, I'd say we got a good work it out in before school."
"I'd hardly call that a workout. I run at least three times as much on a daily basis."
"Yeah yeah, whatever. I don't really work on cardio as much as I do muscular strength and fighting techniques." I pulled out my phone and opened my messages, I almost forgot I had to talk to Izuku later.
Me: I forgot to mention this earlier, but I need to talk to you after school, want to go to my house?
🥦Broccoli Boi🥦: Sure! I can't stay for long since I need to train tonight, but we'll have enough time to talk.
"Who the hell are you texting?"
"None of your business." I stuffed my phone back into my pocket and held onto the train bars. "Speaking of business, you still need to buy me some ice cream."
"Like hell I do! I beat you so I owe you nothing!" His fist clenched around the hanging handle on the train.
"Chillax, I wasn't actually going to make you get me anything. We can just pretend that you did so Rimuru doesn't kick your ass." I chucked to myself and added, "Plus it's fun to get you riled up over nothing."
"When the hell did you get the confidence to talk down to me like that?!?" He's just proving my point on this train ride.
"When the hell did you get so scared of an old lady?"
"Oh fuck off."
"No y-"
"I swear I will blow up your backpack."
"Alright, " I threw up my free hand in defeat, "but seriously why do you act so tame in front of Rimuru."
He stared down at his elbow, "Tch, she just has a quirk I don't want to mess with."
"And that would be?"
"She can change the properties of and manipulate water. Which means she could turn my sweat from glycerin to water, or make my blood unable to move from it's position."
"Essentially meaning she can freeze you in place if you get too violent." I brought my thumb up to my chin, gently rubbing it. "I'm assuming she's done something like that to make you not go hog wild at her shop."
"Yeah, so what, at least she can easily change the water she uses for ramen spicy without wasting ingredients. Keeps her business from running out of spare cash."
"That is pretty smart, " I looked up at the doors of the train, "Oh! Looks like we should get off now, I'm going to go find Mina and Kirishima, see you later!" I quickly shadow traveled the rest of the way to school. It didn't take me too long to spot Mina's bright pink skin and Kiri's spiky red hair.
"Hey guys! I hope you didn't have too much fun without me!" I playfully teased, but in all honesty my depression was quietly nagging that they had more fun without me.
"No way! We wouldn't leave a friend out! That wouldn't be very manly!"
Mina raised her arms up and yawned, "Yeah, we had a lot of fun watching you and Bakugou compete, but we left after a few short rounds of DDR. Mainly because I kept winning!" She grinned proudly.
"What? That's not true! You ran out of money after three games!" Kiri pouted, crossing his arms.
"Even if I had more money I would have won every time."
"Wow, you guys really are friends, " I laughed at the way they bickered over small things. "But it looks like we're at our classroom so don't start any fights." I tauntingly waved my finger at them. We all sat down and talked about nothing in particular, soon the bell rang and the school day began.
After lunch our basic hero training began, starting off with a bang as All Might burst through the door yelling, "I am here!" I couldn't help but notice Izuku trying not to go full-on fanboy mode in front of the class. Everyone was hyped, and so was I, being trained by the number one hero would really boost our performance.
"Welcome to the most important class of U.A., think of it as hero-ing 101!" Everyone waited eagerly for what we would be doing today. "Here, you will learn the basics of being a pro and what it means to fight in the name of good! Let's get into it!"
All Might dramatically posed before continuing, "Today's lesson will pull no punches! But one of the keys to being a hero isssss..." He pointed to the wall where rows of suitcases came from, "Looking good! These were designed for you based on your quirk registration forms and the requests you sent in before school started."
Everyone went wild with excitement, including me, I couldn't wait to try on my hero costume! "Get yourselves suited up! Then meet me at Training Ground Beta!"
