Chapter Eighteen

"Ugh." My eyes fluttered open and I'm greeted my a bright light. "Shit." My torso feels sore, but it's not as bad as bad as earlier.

"Oh good, you're awake." Recovery Girl came over to me and checked some monitors around me. "You seem to be doing much better than when you got here."

I adjusted myself to try and sit up, "No, lay down. You need to rest." She set down her clipboard and sat on a stool next to the hospital bed. "You took a pretty bad hit, unfortunately, I wasn't able to fully heal you using my quirk."

"How long have I been passed out?"

"Almost a full day, about eighteen hours at this point. But I can use my quirk on you now since you have energy again."

I started to panic and get up, "Wait what?!? I'm missing school I have to-"

"School's been cancelled today for your class. Everyone needs a break after getting attacked by villains."

"Oh..." I guess that's good, it means I have about another day to rest. "So you said you can use your quirk on me now?"

"Yep, and after that you have a friend that's been waiting for you since you got in here." She kissed my forehead and suddenly any pain that I had disappeared, but I felt fairly tired. "Your dad dropped off a change of clothes earlier, and he said he wished he could stay until you could go home. Unfortunately he had to work."

"Thanks." I gave her and smile and started to get up, "Does the friend you mentioned have blonde spiky?"

"Yes, he refused to leave and even slept on the plastic chairs last night." She went to her computer and typed something, "He almost fought a security guard, the poor guy hasn't worked here long and didn't realize that the spiky blonde of yours was allowed to stay."

"Yeah, that sounds like him." I chuckled, just imagining the fear on the guard's face. "Alright, I'm going to change now."

I headed into the bathroom and put on the clothes my dad packed for me. Some ripped jean shorts and a star wars logo t-shirt. Awesome. I texted my dad to let him know I was awake and doing just fine, and to let him know Katsuki was waiting for me.

Once I was done I thanked Recovery Girl and left the hospital room. Katsuki's sleeping on a chair right across from my room. I walked up to him and poked his cheek. "Wake up, slumber queen."

His eyes barely opened. "Who the fuck do you think- oh it's you." His cheeks grew pink. It's funny how often that's been happening lately. "Good thing you're awake." He stood up and started walking. "C'mon, we don't have all day."

I followed behind, "We kinda do, it's only ten in the morning." He just rolled his eyes and continued walking. "So where are we going?" I questioned as we entered the elevator.

As he pressed the ground floor button he responded, "We're going for ice cream."

"Oh? Is it a date?" Please say it is, please say it is.

"No... Rimuru said I have to take you out for ice cream sometime so that's what I'm doing." I glared at him with a raised eyebrow, he can't be telling the truth, his face is super pink. "Okay fine. It's a fuckin' date."

The elevator doors opened and we made our way towards the hospital exit. "You know, it can't be a date unless you ask me out for one. You can't just drag me along and call it a date without me knowing."

"Tch, you're stubborn." We reached the outside and walk along the sidewalk. "Do you want to go on a date?"

I pulled my hand to my face and tapped my chin, looking at the sky. "Hmmm I don't know..."
