From the Shadows || Katsuki Bakugou x OC

Chapter Twelve

After explaining why Iida was the real winner of the fight, even if he wasn't in the winning team, Izuku was taken to Recovery Girl and the other three returned back to the viewing area.

The next match is my team as the heroes and a team consisting of an invisible girl and a dude with a tail as the villains. Todoroki and I have to stand outside the building for five minutes while we wait for the villains allotted setup time.

"So since we're teammates, I guess we should know each other's quirks." I awkwardly said, he hadn't said anything for the first two minutes so I thought I should break the silence. "I can control and travel through shadows, what about you?"

"Half hot and half cold. My left side is fire and my right side is ice."

"Wow! That's pretty power-"

"But I refuse to use my left side during battles, other than to melt my ice after." Okay then, slightly less powerful in that case. Still pretty cool though.

I stuck my hand out to shake his hand, "I look forward to working with you in this battle!" I tried my best to be friendly and formal, I think I heard he got in on recommendations, so it would make sense if he preferred more formal introductions.

He left my hand there, not even moving, "I'm not here to make friends, so don't bother with trying." Damn, that's harsh.

I can understand not wanting to make friends, but that was cold. "Kinda reminds me of when I was little." I smiled lightly under my breath.

"What was that?"

"Shit, did I say that out loud? My bad." I nervously rubbed the back of my neck. "So do we have a plan?" Just then All Might announced that the battle was starting.

"For your own safety, just stay outside and leave it to me." Umm, excuse me? I'm not some weak little girl.

He pressed his hand against the wall and quickly froze the entirety of the buildings inside. "Well, let me get the weapon so that I can actually say that I did something." I didn't let him respond and formed my own shadow into a snowboard, going through the halls and becoming the snowboard as I lept up stairways. It only took my a minute to find the weapon. The boy with the tail was frozen in place near it.

I carefully went around him, avoiding the swing radius of his tail, and touched the weapon. "Well, that wasn't as exciting at I had hoped it would be." I chuckled to myself.

"The hero team wins!" All Might said through his mic.

I saw the ice around the room melt, Todoroki must have known to do that as soon as it was announced we won. I turned to the tailed boy and held out my hand, "Hopefully there will be a proper battle that last more than thirty seconds one day. I'm Todomura."

"Ojiro, and I agree, that kinda bummed me out." He chuckled, "Doesn't your teammate have the same last name as you? Are you related?"

"Huh? No, his name is Todoroki, I'm Todomura. They're pretty close though." We started walking down to the exit of the building.

We chatted a little on our way down, he seems pretty chill, but not as chill as Todoroki's ice powers! Okay brain, stop making stupid jokes.

All of the battles were finally done, and everyone was fairly exhausted. We all headed back to the locker rooms to change into our school uniforms and get back regular classes.

Mina, Kirishima, and I met up back in our classroom with most of our classmates after school.

"The person I was paired up with today was pretty manly! Do you mind if I add him to our group chat?" Mina and I both agreed and are chill with that.
