It was finally the day of the entrance exams. I woke up two hours before it started so that I could get a shower before having to leave. I was extremely nervous, but there was no way I wasn't going to do it. After my shower, I got on a gray sports tank top and crimson red gym shorts.
I ate waffles for breakfast like I normally do, and drank plenty of water so that I wouldn't die of thirst. "Wow, you're really sticking to that hydrate or die-drate thing I always say." My dad laughed me me.
"I'm so excited for you Keiko, I know you'll do great!" He messed with my hair and give me a hug with one arm.
"Thanks dad! I'll try my best!"
"There is no try, there is only do." He stated matter of factly.
It was about 40 minutes before it started, meaning I had head out now to catch a train. I wouldn't want to waste my quirk to travel the entire way. I quickly left the house after saying goodbye to my dad, with him wishing me good luck.
I used my quirk to travel to the station in just a few seconds, not wanting to go the full speed I could. Once I had boarded my phone buzzed. I grabbed it out of my pocket to see if was Izuku.
🥦 Broccoli Boi 🥦: I'm running a little behind, so I won't be able to catch you beforehand.
Me: Alright Izuku, good luck!
Me: And don't run into any villains on your way
🥦 Broccoli Boi 🥦: I won't.
I put my phone back into my pocket and went the rest of the time in silence. Once I arrived I still had ten minutes till it started, I never liked being late, or even on time. I could only tolerate it because I could never be mad at Izuku for causing us to be.
I made my way to the area where we'd get instructions on the entrance exams, I didn't bother searching for Izuku, knowing he was running late. I felt a large hand on my shoulder, which made me jump since the last time a hand was on my shoulder didn't go so well. I turned around to see who had done that and speaking of last time, it's the same damn person. "Katsuki?" I questioned, wondering why the hell he wanted my attention.
"No fucking kidding. " he retorted. It had been a while since I've seen him, when did he get so tall and ripped? He's probably got a full two inches on me.
"You were right..." he looked to the side as we walked.
"Oh look at you Mr. I'm-so-humble." I stared sarcastically, about to pick up my pace to escape.
His voice got louder and angrier, "Shut up and listen Todomura! I'm trying to be fuckin' nice and apologize!" His shouting attracted the attention of a few nearby, but they quickly went back to their own business.
I hesitated but decided to give him a chance, besides, it's rare Katsuki the Angry apologized to anyone. "Fine, maybe I'll forgive you." Unlike him, I knew full well I had already forgiven him.
He grumbled but continued with what he was saying, "You were right, I can't be a hero if I'm telling people to-" He looked at me, seemingly unwilling to say it. "If I'm that mean to people... and I'm..." I couldn't hear that last word, as he pouted and looked away as he said it.
"Could you repeat that, I couldn't hear what you said."
He scoffed, "Deaf dumbass..." He looked slightly guilty when he called me that. "I said I'm sorry!"
This... was not what I expected, he seemed genuinely sorry. "Katsuki, " I looked him right in the eye, "I can tell you're being sincere, I forgive you."
