Chapter 11. Sudden Confession

Chapter 11.

Two weeks had passed since the classes started again and the two rarely talked.

Gulf became distant from Mew, he kept thinking about that someone named Kana. It couldn't be him as there was no Kana in his name, Gulf Traipipattanapong.

For the past days, he tried to search for someone who named Kana in the university but he found no one.

Mew didn't know how many times he tried to approach Gulf and make even just a simple conversation with the man, but Gulf always had a reason just to escape from his presence. And that really made him sad.

And the most saddening part was, Gulf was always with a high school girl that was probably just a few years younger than him.

He was always seeing them everyday and he couldn't stand seeing them, he knew he didn't know who was the girl but he couldn't help from thinking further.

The courage that he had been collecting wasps slowly fading away. He felt his heart was sinking and he didn't know what to do anymore.

"What are you watching?" Hanu asked Vaian when the three of them sat down on their usual spot during lunch.

They ordered first so they were carrying their food and Vaian let Hanu carry his drink because he was watching a video on his cellphone.

"It's a clip for my uncle's wedding." Vaian answered without looking back.

On the other side, Mew was just listening to his friends while looking at his own food. He didn't want to look outside because he might see Gulf with the highschool girl.

For the past days, this was what he was doing just to not see them. Every time he was seeing Gulf with the girl, he was having so much hard time controlling his jealousy. And he always wanted to yank Gulf out of that girls hand and tell him everything.

"But they're both men." Hanu said with frowned eyebrows. He look6s like he doesn't like the idea of a man having an intimate relationship with a man. Vaian looked at him questioningly.

"What's wrong with that?" Vaian said with pained expression. Mew stopped moving his spoon and focused with the two.

"That's disgusting." Hanu said senselessly with disgust clearly shown on his face.

Mew stiffed on his seat. Even his friend couldn't accept that kind of relationship. His body felt weak and his head hung lower.

He couldn't look at his friends from the thought that one of them doesn't like that kind of relationship.

"I-i.. I'm not feeling well, I'm going home." Mew immediately said and went out of the cafeteria while his head was still down.

He went straight to the parking lot but he abruptly stopped just the time he looked up only to see Gulf walking beside the girl.

Their back was facing Mew. They're talking happily that made Mew's heart sunk more. The beat of his heart was slow but it was pounding hard that made him grip his shirt right in front of his chest.

His tears were about to fall but he blinked it off and walked quickly passed the two. He didn't dare to look back and hurt himself more.

Managing to go and enter his car, he slammed himself on the drivers seat and hit his forehead on his arm that was leaning on the steering wheel. His tears rolled inevitably as the pain was engulfing him down.

Why does love hurts like this?.. Is it going to be painful like this if I loved a girl instead?..  Fuck!.. I love him!.. I love him already!..
