Chapter 26. Meet My Family Pt. 2

Chapter 26.

"Son, Mew, let's eat. Come.. Come."

Gulf's Mom said using her sweet voice. The lady is a bit old but it is still not showing on her physical appearance same as Gulf's father. They are both looking so healthy.

Mew suddenly missed his family, specially his Mom.

"Hi P'Gulf! P'Mew!"

Arian waved at them and helped her grandma from prepaparing the foods on the table.

"Hoy, when did you arrive?"

"Yesterday morning Phi. I wanted to go with you but Mom is in a hurry."

Gulf talked with his niece first and helped on the preparation too. Mew who doesn't know how to act, hesitantly asked Gulf's Mom to let him carry the plate of rice.

Gulf's Mom smiled at Mew from the man's kindness, not all rich kids do that.

"Where's your Mom sweetie? Why don't she join us here?"

Gulf's Mom asked Arian as they all sat on their chairs. The table is good for eight. Mew sat beside Gulf while the two ladies sat in front of them.

Gulf's father came to the dining room and greeted everyone as he sat on the center.

"She's busy on the farm Grandma."

The family talked like they really missed each other while Gulf and Mew is secretly holding hands under the table every moment they got chance.

They kept on exchanging glances, signaling that they should tell the family about them already.

When they are almost done eating, Gulf gathered a lot of courage and started speaking.

"Hmm.. Ma, Pa, I want to tell you something.."

Gulf started and held on Mew's hand firmly. Mew squeezed Gulf's hand and gulped in nervousness.

"What is it, Son? Are you having problems on the resort?"

Gulf's father asked while preparing a spoonful of food.

"No Pa."

Gulf said and gripped his other hand on his knee. His heart is beating so fast, he is too afraid of what will happen when his parents finally know that their son likes a man.

"U-uncle, Auntie.. I'm y-your son's boyfriend."

Mew bravely said and tried to look at the elders eyes but it only lasted a few seconds. Gulf looked at Mew and breathed heavily. They held their hands tightly when the elders didn't say anything and just sat there with bewildered face.

Gulf's father placed back his spoon on the plate and looks like what he heard took away his appetite. Gulf's Mom stopped from chewing and looked at Gulf. Arian on the side just slowed down her movements.

Gulf bit his lower lip that is starting to shake. Mew looked at anything but to Gulf's parents as he feel that what will happen next will not be good. The ambiance on the dining lowed down as if something very disappointing happened.

"Pa, Ma, please accept us. I-i know that you are disappointed but please give us chance to show that we are serious in this."

Gulf almost pleaded, he know that his parent's silence means that they are not favoring to what they knew.

"Please, don't disown your son because of me. I'll show you that I truly love him. I'm serious on him, Uncle."

Mew said with a lot of confidence. He can't just let the situation weaken him. He needs to fight for Gulf.
