Chapter 37



“THANK YOU SOO MUCH FOR COMING OUT FOR OUR SHOW TONIGHT! I HOPE YOU GUYS ENJOYED THE TOUR!! SEE YOU NEXT TIME! WE LOVE YOU GUYS!”

I ran off the stage and was on my way to one of the dressing rooms when I was stopped by one the body guards. 

“Bill there’s someone here to see you” Leo said and I followed him. 

If Leo let anyone in, that person must be trusted; I thought when we reached the outside.
It was almost 11.30pm, and the sun was almost gone. It was in the middle of October and we were starting on our fourth month touring. Right now we were in Montreal and that would be our last show for one week.
We had a whole week vacation ahead of us before we would go on with the tours.  

I immediately recognized the fast behind the sunglasses. She had a baby bump. 

“Hey” she said quietly. 

“Hey…”

“Can we talk? Somewhere private?”

“Sure. We can go inside”

I lead her back to one of the dressing rooms and made sure it was empty before we walked in.  We sat down on the couch and I could not stop staring at her baby bump. She had become big. She had to be in like the fifth month or so.  

“I… I have left him”

“What?”

“I left him”

“Why?” I asked confused and she sighed before she took off her sunglasses. I could see why. 
Alicia had a black eye and a big bruise on her cheek. 

“Did he do this to you?” I asked feeling the blood boil in my veins and I moved closer to her. 
She only nodded her head and I could see how much it hurt.

“Why?”

She started crying, and I thought she even cried more because it hurt so much. 

“Tell me, Alicia”

And she told me. She told me that after a few months being married everything changed. That her husband, Zack, changed.

“Calm down… I can’t understand” I said when she cried even more. 

She took a deep breath and I stroked my hands over her back. 

“Can… can I stay with you?”

“What?”

“I’m afraid! Can I stay with you?”

“But… yes, of course you can, but… you want it?”

She nodded her head. 

“I’m afraid he will find me… He threatened me”

Alicia started crying again and I pulled her in to my arms. 

“Schh… He will not find you!”

I couldn’t really understand what had happened. I knew he had hit her, and that he had started drinking, but it had to be something more. Alicia didn’t say anything else; she just stood in my arms while her tears ran down her cheeks. It wasn’t the time to ask her about it, but when the time came, I would ask. I had to know everything that had happened.

“Is the… the baby alright?” I asked her and looked down in her brown eyes.

She only nodded her head before she leaned her head against my chest again.
In a second everything had changed. I couldn’t believe I had Alicia in my arms, again. 
But I wasn’t going to make the same mistake by letting her go this time.  I just hoped she would be here long enough for our feelings to be back where they once were.
