CHAPTER 83

Jennie's P.O.V.

"You're back!" I heard Lisa exclaim from the couch, while Chaeyoung strangles me as she hops on my back.

"I can smell food..." She says under her breath, "Did you just come to me only because I have food?" I ask sarcastically, "Well....Kinda." She replies with a cheeky smile on her face.

"How did it go?" Jisoo appeared out from her room, with Chaeyoung slowly taking the bag from my hands.

"It was... fine." I replied, a little hesitant as I say my words. "What happened?" She threw another question, "Well, we fixed the misunderstanding. But we're having a cool off, it's for the best."

I headed to the kitchen, eyeing the food mom ordered. "Wow! Meat! It's been a long time we haven't had meat." Chaeyoung yells in delight, placing the food on a platter.

We haven't eaten meat in a long time due to diets... Mom must've known about it and ordered this.

"Jennie, you ordered it?" Jisoo asks in suprise, "No... It's from my mother. She ordered it." They all looked at me in shock, eyes widening at my words.

"What do you mean mom?" Lisa and Chae asks in sync, which caused me and Jisoo to look at each other.

"Well... A few days ago when both of you were busy with work, we went to her aunt's house to visit and supposedly eat dinner. Well, turns out her mom came back that night and they met..." Jisoo explained, making the girls raise their brows on me.

"Jisoo unnie knew and you didn't tell us about this?" Lisa questioned, "I just didn't want to be a burden of you guys." My eyes were glued to the floor, biting my lips in guilt.

"Jennie... You aren't a burden to us." Chaeyoung came near, pulling me into an embrace. She was followed by Jisoo and Lisa, and now we're having a group hug.

"Stop being so lonely and stop overthinking, or else we'll have to eat dinner very late due to a long time of such drama scene." Chaeyoung said out loud which made all of us fall into laughter.

"Alright! Time for dinner!" Lisa headed to the dining room first, followed by all of us.

Finally, a day where everything is in peace again...

Will everything be at peace until the end?

........
The next day...

"Jennie, can you please get the door for me please? I'm cooking breakfast." Jisoo screamed from the kitchen, making me pull myself up the bad.

The doorbell rang again, making me walk faster. I opened the door with no hesitation to reveal Taehyung with a bag on his hand.

"Oh.. Taehyung." I awkwardly smiled, standing there silent.

"Let's have a cool-off... It's the best for us, to know eachother more."

"Goodmorning Jennie. I just wanted to hand something to my sister, tell her it's from Father. She didn't attend the family dinner yesterday, so yeah." He averted his eyes as he talks, I could see the anxiety in his eyes.

He's as nervous as I am...

"I'll bring this to her then. But, don't you want to come in?" He furrowed his brows in confusion, "I-I m-mean for a cup of coffee or juice or water..."

"N-no, no. I'm fine. Anyways, you girls seem so busy so I'll just go." He responded, and the awkwardness in between the both of us stayed the same.

"O-okay. Bye." I bid my goodbye first, holding unto the door handle. "Bye. Have a great day Jennie." And I closed the door shut.

I sighed in relief, leaning against the door for support.

Looking at him never feels the same anymore...

Just a month ago we confessed, we fought days ago, didn't talk to each other for a week and resolved yesterday.

This cool off should be fine. It would help a lot, I'm certain it would...

"Breakfast is ready!" My thoughts stopped when I heard Jisoo's voice from the kitchen. "Jennie, let's hurry and eat. We need to be down the building in twenty minutes."

Jennie, you're gonna be alright.

I was trying to tight this chapter properly, but I have not much enthusiasm to write so I'm sorry. 🙁😔
