Chapter 12- Take Down the Barrier!

Jess's POV

As I'm sleeping, I can feel Sylvi pacing in my head. She just swapped out in place of Mickey. Why is Sylvi stressed?

"You okay?" Phoenix asks, just as confused as I am.

"No!" Sylvi squeaks.

"What's wrong?" I ask her.

"I d-don't think I should tell you" she says nervously.

As far as I know, Sylvi is never one to get scared, so this is strange. Is something wrong with Shelby? Should I wake up?

"No! You need to sleep!" Phoenix scolds me.

I huff slightly, but give into her commands, considering I'm too weak to do anything.

Sly's POV (1 hour later)

It's not long before I see Shelby coming through the forest again, Jess on the horse with her, unconscious. I jump down from the tree and rush over to the barrier. "Is she okay!?" I ask, getting straight to the point.

"She's okay for now" Shelby tells me, "Sylvi is currently helping to hold her up, but she's going to have to hold it for a little longer since Willow probably won't be able to get through to Jess" she explains while getting off of the horse and bringing Jess down onto the grass, laying her down.

She was just like I remember her.

"Okay, so how do we go about taking down this barrier?" Alex asks, walking up next to me.

"We have to all work together. I know we did that earlier, but I know we can do it" She says confidently.

I nod, anything for Jess. "Daddy, can I help?" Lake asks, hugging my leg. I look down at her before smiling, "Okay, but be careful. If you need to stop, then stop" I say.

She nods and I watch as she puts her small hands on the barrier. Lily comes up next to her and does the same while letting her claws out.

Oh yeah, Lily got claws, just like Kala.

The rest of The Few come up and put their hands on the barrier for a second before backing up and loading up their powers. I see Jose and Castor load up explosion arrows into their bows and begin firing. Explosions go off left and right.

All of us work together and start taking down the barrier.

Shelby comes up too and starts throwing balls of explosive light at the barrier to try and break it like she had done earlier.

Shelby's POV

"Let me guess, you want some help?" Void Shelby asks.

"It would be helpful" I tell her in my head.

I feel her start to put her power in too. I see a ball of dark energy and light energy fly from my hands and explode on the barrier.

Explosions go off left and right as everybody works together to take down the barrier. We need to be quick since Sylvi needs to come back to me soon or I'll start getting weak.

I glance back at Jess who is still sleeping. I hope she's okay.

Looking back to the barrier, I see a small crack beginning to form. We're getting somewhere which is a good sign, obviously.

(Time skip)

After about 20 minutes, we're all exhausted, but the barrier is almost down. "We're almost there!" I shout.

"LET'S DO THIS!" Everybody shouts in confidence.

Void Shelby and I build up a large ball of light and dark energy and I throw it at full power, and it strikes the barrier, exploding it into shards as the others do the same. All the shards begin to disappear one by one.
