Previously: "The nail that sticks up is the one that gets hammered down," Kakashi said, taking out his book and walking towards you.

When Kakashi walked up to you, the two of you walked in the direction of the field again.

"That Uchiha kid is something else huh?" you told Kakashi, walking with your hands behind your head.

"Yeah, he definitely has more skill than Naruto and Sakura, but he is still too naïve," Kakashi answered, putting his book back into his pouch showing you that you have his full attention.

"But Naruto is also pretty strong, it's just that he needs to be more open to new ideas," you stated. "I mean for all the time I've known him he always worked hard, but he is just a kid. Naruto went through a lot of pain growing up, and so did Sasuke due to the Uchiha massacre. They're perfect for each other if you think about it," you said chuckling a bit at the end.

"Perfect for each other how?" Kakashi asked not completely understanding your statement.

"I dunno, as best friends or maybe even more than that. They understand each other's loneliness and suffering. If that doesn't make them friends then I don't know what does," You told Kakashi shrugging.

"That is true, and if they do become friends or even something more it would do wonders for the team's performance," Kakashi said as you were nearing the field. 

"Well... that's debatable,"

"Debatable how?

"I wouldn't want to break up a lovers' spat," you laughed and Kakashi chuckled.

"They're too young," he smiled

"Yeah, I know. It was only a joke,"

You heard talking and told Kakashi.

"I can hear talking, and judging by the enthusiasm it's probably Naruto,"

You and Kakashi snuck up behind him "Hi there," Kakashi spoke, crouching on the stone behind Naruto. You were also there but instead, you were standing beside the stone.

"I-I was just joking sensei," Naruto stuttered, referring to what he was saying earlier.

"Nice try," you complimented sarcastically. You heard yelling in the distance, again guessing it was Sakura. And when it abruptly stopped you thought that she fainted... again. Kakashi grabbed Naruto and tied him up to post.

"Uh oh, stomachs growling huh that's too bad. Oh by the way, about this exercise, well We've decided we won't send any of you back to the academy," He clarified. All of the Genin ended up celebrating too early.

"Yup all of you are getting dropped out of the program. Permanently," You added, crushing all of their hopes and dreams.

"Drop us from the program! That means we can never become ninja! You said if we couldn't take the bells we would be sent back to the academy! You can't just change your mind and kick us out why would you do that?!" Naruto ranted. You loved Naruto but sometimes his voice really got on your nerves.

"Because you don't think like ninja, you think like little kids; like brats," Kakashi snapped. This clearly vexed Sasuke, and so he ran at Kakashi going in for an attack. Kakashi grabbed the hand Sasuke was prepared to attack with and twisted it to his back. He then tripped Sasuke and sat on him putting his foot on the back of Sasuke's head; this prevented him from doing anything further. "You think it's all about you," Kakashi told him.
