"Look at you, passed out because of your Sharingan. You could've let me help you more and this wouldn't have happened. You don't need to take care of me anymore, or is it that you also think I'm useless?" you brushed his dishevelled hair from his face.
"What?" Kakashi asked with concerned eyes as you moved your hand away.

Your eyes widened, he wasn't supposed to hear what you were saying.
"I uh, um I didn't say anything important, it's nothing for you to worry yourself over," you tried to convince Kakashi that he was just hearing things. It wasn't going very well.
"Y/N you're not useless," Kakashi told you and reached out to gently grasp your hand. This flustered you, but you didn't move your hand away. "Zabuza doesn't know the first thing about you. You're one of the strongest people I have ever met, physically and mentally," Kakashi comforted. You were at a loss for words. Even after being Kakashi's best friend for maybe more than ten years, it still amazed you how kind and caring he could be. Kakashi brought you in for a hug (it would have been uncomfortable for you since you were still sitting, so you laid next to him). "You're perfect, always have been always will be," he whispered into your ear. His kindness overwhelmed you and you didn't know how to react so you hid your face in his chest. He stroked your hair comfortingly, you felt drowsy and fell asleep next to him. He closed his eyes and went to sleep not too long after.
The next morning you woke up next to Kakashi. Blushing slightly, you moved away from him slowly, as to not wake him up and walked to the kitchen to see Tsunami making breakfast. You walked up to her.
"Good morning," you greeted her while she was making breakfast.
"Good morning, did you sleep well?" she asked glancing over to you momentarily.
"Yes, thank you," You said tiredly. You weren't exactly a social person to begin with, so in the morning you weren't the best to be around. After answering her question, the two of you stayed in comfortable silence.
After a while, you went to your room to check if anyone was awake. You saw Kakashi laying in the futon, unmoving.
"Ugh, I think I overdid it with my Sharingan," Kakashi groaned.
"Waking up huh, are you alright?" Tsunami inquired, coming into the room.
"I've been better. It'll be a week before I can move normally," Kakashi answered, slowly trying to sit up. You walked up to him and flicked him in the nose.
"This is what happens when you overexert yourself. Who do you think had to carry you all the way here huh?" you scolded sternly.
"It's better if you don't move so just lie down," Tsunami ordered in a motherly tone.
"Right," Kakashi responded, laying back down. As he did so the rest of team seven came into the room.
"Look the sensei is coming around," Naruto pointed out. Sakura began walking up to Kakashi and kneeled next to him.
"Listen sensei your Sharingan is amazing and everything, but if it puts that much strain on you then maybe it's not worth it," Sakura spoke.
"Sorry," Kakashi apologised.
"Well he did take down one of the most powerful ninja assassins, so we'll be safe for a while," Tazuna confirmed, fanning himself. You looked down at your feet, wishing that you could have helped Kakashi more.
