Hey guys, I am back with a new chapter yet once again. This chapter is gonna be kinda crazy because it somewhat relates to an actual event that happened in my life and it shook me up a bit. I'll explain what happened when the chapter ends. In the meantime, just relax and enjoy the chapter.
Xavier's POV
Me and Romeo were walking home after he took me out on a date to go to the state fair. While walking home, we were cracking jokes and remembering how I got scared to get on the roller coaster because I was worried it was gonna break down and stop working if it ever got to the highest point of the ride. He bought me cotton candy and we took pictures. We got to pet the baby animals and did a little more then kiss when we went in the Tunnel Of Love. We played a few booth games and I won it stuffed teddy bear (well, more like Romeo threatened the guy running the booth I would get a prize regardless if I won or lost).
"Romeo, you didn't have to threaten that poor guy like that." I said to him and he laughed. He put an arm over my shoulders and pulled me closer to him.
"I only did it for you. I only want what's best for my baby." He said stealing a piece of cotton candy from my bag. I specifically told him he should've bought a bag for himself, but he complained that it was too much money and it was a scam.
Once we got to my porch, I stopped walking and seen the living room light on. I looked at my watch and groaned because at this of night, there was a specific person would be up doing God knows what.
"It's Brian. Romeo, thank you for taking me home. I don't want any problems happening tonight." I said and I left his side. He grabbed my arm lightly and pulled me back
"I'm sure he can't be that bad." He said before walking up to the front door and knocked on it. My eyes went wide and I ran to stop him, but I was too late
The front door opened and Brian stood there with a blunt in his mouth. He looked Romeo up and down to size him up. "Who the fuck are you?" He asked him
"I'm Romeo and here to return Xavier. You must his dad." He said extending his hand out to Brian. Brian looked down at Romeo's extended hand and did nothing. Romeo put his arm back to his side and walked inside like he owned the place. I was about to walk in after him, until Brian pushed me.
"Where you going?" He said looking at me. I brushed his arm off me and forced my way in. I glared at him and went to the kitchen to get something to drink. I went to the living room and sat on the couch
"Unlike you, I live here. You just moved in and took over." I said and he slammed the door before he sat in his usual spot in the living room and sorted out his weed on the table
"You gon stop talking to me like I'm an outsider and show me some damn respect." He said looking up at me
"Ever since mom died, you acted like an outsider and not a real father like you were supposed to be. So, you deserve no respect." I said and he stopped what he was doing completely and looked at me
"Look here you demon child, what happened to your mother that day was not my fault." He said getting pissed off
"But, where you the same one who cause that gun war. Technically, it was you're fault because had you have just walked away, mom would still be here. I don't even know how you can just sit there and continue being the same drug addict that you used to be." I said and he slammed his fist on the table, the impact made his knuckles bleed.
"You know what? Since you think you can run things and act grown, go be grown somewhere until you can abide by my rules and show me some respect." He said raising his voice. Isabella came downstairs to investigate. Romé followed her and looked like he just woke up from a nap.
