Chapter 1

"What are you even doing in Braam?"

Lumi asks

"I'm searching for a lead character for my music video"

I tell him while I drive around the streets, usually the label conducts interviews with models but this time around I wanted to find someone myself. It's not that I'm not happy with the girls they usually get for me but this song is different from what I usually write, I want someone that's going to fit perfectly to the song

"Don't they like conduct interviews and shit?"

I chuckle

"I want someone perfect, not just some video vixen looking girl"

I tell him, as I am driving I spot these three girls walking together but only one of them is able to grab my attention, she's perfect for the video I want to shoot. Her innocent face, her slim body are perfect for what I want and GOD her flawless skin, she's so simple and probably looks boring to a normal person but to me she seems perfect because she is herself. I make a turn at the robots and halt to a stop in front of them, I turn the window down and they all stop and look at me

"Ladies"

I say

"OMG!!!"

The girl on her right says unable to contain her excitement, it's the kind of reaction I am used to getting from my fans so it's safe to assume that she's a fan.

"You are Aaron Langa"

She points out and I chuckle and get out of the car, I look at the one in the middle and nod

"yes I am"

I say taking my shades off, I slip them in my jean pocket

"And you ladies are?"

I ask them

"I am Asavela, this is Pamela and this is my best friend Asante"

The first girl answers, I nod but my eyes still linger on Asante who is the one standing in the middle

"Nice to meet you, I don't usually do this but Asante can I have your number?"

I say bluntly, she frowns

"I don't know you like that"

I chuckle at her response

"your friend will fill you in on who I am, I don't really have all day"

I tell her and she shoots me a look

"No, you are rude"

She says and I roll my eyes at her, I am not used to rejection. The last person that ever rejected me was my ex and even so that was before we dated

"Here is my card, when you change your mind about me shoot me a text"

I say holding out my card which Asante looks at but Asavela takes it from me

"Thank you"

Asavela says

"She will be in touch"

She says and I smile and nod

"I look forward to it. I'm shooting a music video, you should hit me up if you need some quick cash"

I say and then get back in the car not waiting for their response and drive off, I had even forgotten I was talking to my cousin on the phone

"Aaron Langa"

He calls out

"Shit I forgot I was on the phone with you. What were you saying?"

I ask him and he huffs

"I'm assuming you met a girl?"

He says with a very bored voice, I chortle

"Yes I actually did. She is perfect!"

I tell him

"Meaning?"

He asks sounding confused

"I mean she is perfect. I left her my card and as soon as she contacts me I'll introduce you"

He laughs

"You mean you didn't take her number? Who are you and what have you done to my cousin?"

He asks and I laugh

"I am here. I'll see you in a bit cuz, bye"

I say dismissively and end the call. I drive over to the apartment and I find him chilling in the lounge channel hopping, I rough up his hair playfully and he tries to smack my hand

"Exe"

I greet walking around the couch and throw myself on the single couch

"Yah"

He says

"I got a call from mom inviting us for lunch for some reason"

He says and I chuckle

"For some reason?"

I ask with a raised eyebrow and he shrugs

"You know how she is. So what's up with you and this girl?"

He asks and I shrug

"I have no idea man. There's something different about her"

I say honestly and he chuckles

"So smash and pass or?"

I shrug

"I don't know her well enough"

He laughs

"When have you ever needed to know a girl long enough?"

I shrug

"I'm as surprised as you are. Let me change my t-shirt and then we can head out to your mom's"

I say getting off the couch, he doesn't respond as I head to my room to change. I hit up my video director and tell him about Asante and her friends and he is against me using amateurs for this video.

"Look, I know what I'm doing"

I tell him as I walk out of my room

"Aaron I understand that but if you want me to direct this video then you have to let me do my job"

He says and I chuckle

"It's my video and I don't want a girl I won't be able to connect with"

I tell him as we walk out of the flat to the car

"Don't do that, don't say that. I'm trying to help you here. I know my job better than you do"

I roll my eyes

"Ok lets do this, bring your girls and I bring mine. I work with my girl and we see how she does ok?"

I suggest

"Fine, it's your video and if it sucks th-"

"-You will get to tell me 'I told you so'"

I say completing the sentence for him and he laughs

"See you Friday Langa"
