Chapter 8

ONE MONTH LATER

I am happy to say Asante finally gave in. We've been going out for a month now and things between us are sweet, they are different than any relationship I have ever had before her. She's such a peaceful person, she speaks when she doesn't like something and the way she addresses things in a respectful manner will always amaze me because she is nothing like I thought she would. Asante is humble, loving, kind hearted, sweet, adorable, lovable and just everything nice you can think of.

I just finished recording a song with Lumi, he's actually a great lyricist but unlike me he does the music thing part time. He's not a fan of the spot light like I am. We walk out of the sound booth to listen to the song we just recorded

"I like that, I like what you did with the hook"

Alex says playing the song from the hook

"I feel like it's missing something"

I say

"rerun the hook"

He replays it from the top, I add voice overs

"That sounds better, you should add those"

Lumi says, I nod and then return to the recording booth and add the voice overs. They rerun the hook with the voiceovers and I like what I'm hearing. I check my watch and my appointment is close. I get out of the booth and return to them

"I'm happy with what you guys did. I'll master it and then get back to you guys"

Alex says and I look at Lumi who nods in agreement

"I have to dash off somewhere. I have to go for a fitting for my graduation suit"

I say and Lumi checks his watch

"Shit, I have to go too. Thanks again for today's sesh"

We says as we rush out. I call Asante

"Hey Snowflake"

I say as soon as she answers and I can just imagine her blushing

"Hey"

She says shyly, she still hasn't brought herself to call me anything cute and sweet yet and after a lengthy conversation with Sandi I have decided not to push her

"Still haven't gotten around to giving me a pet name yet?"

I ask her and she giggles

"How are you Aaron?"

She asks making me chuckle

"I miss my girl, what are doing?"

I ask her

"I just got out of my last class"

She says and I smile

"So I can come and fetch you? There's somewhere I want to take you"

I ask her

"Where?"

I chuckle at her question and her impatience

"Chill Snowflake"

I say chilled and I know how much she doesn't like that

"so you not going to tell me at all?"

She asks unable to hide her impatience

"Which entrance should I wait for you at?"

I ask her as I look for a parking lot

"Gate 1"

She says

"See you when I get there, don't miss me too much"

I tell her

"Bye"

She says

"Bye Snowflake"

I say and then cut the call. I step out of the car to wait for her when a group of girls walk over to me all excited and all smiles.

"Hey, you're Aaron right?"

One of them asks with an innocent looking smile, I shrug

"Yeah I am"

I say with a nod, she squeals. My friends and I are huge fans of your music, would it be forward of us to get a picture with you?"

She asks, I search for Asante before nodding. She hates, well not hate but she's not a fan of me meeting my fans and all

"Thank you so much"

She says and each of them start posing with me, some take selfies and soon there's other girls taking pictures with me. One even asks that I sign her book, as I am signing someone clears their throat making me look up, I smile when I see her

"I have to go, the Mrs doesn't like to be kept waiting"

They protest a little but I shrug while looking at Asante and then make my way through them walking over to greet her

"Hey cutie"

I say and she blushes looking down

"Can we just go please"

She says and I chuckle wrapping my arm around her waist and kissing her, she pushes me off her not a huge fan of pda.

"Shall we?"

I say taking her head and leading her to my car, I open the door for her and then let her in

"That was so unnecessary"

She says and I laugh

"So she can talk after all"

I tease, she rolls her eyes at me

"I don't know how many times I need to warn you about that"

I say squeezing her thigh lightly, she has this annoying tendency of rolling her eyes at me

"Where are we going?"

She asks impatiently

"How was your day?"

I ask completely ignoring her question

"It was long and boring. How was yours?"

She asks

"Busy-busy-busy. The video is ready"

I say and she smiles turning to me

"That's amazing babe, I can't wait to see it"

She says, I literally freeze because she's just called me 'babe

"What?"

she asks

"You just called me babe"
