Chapter 7

We leave Vela cleaning herself up

"So what now?"

Asante asks me as we head back to set, I shrug

"Honestly I don't know. Come lets go for a walk around set"

I say taking her hand into mine

"You beautiful Asante"

I tell her and she blushes looking away from me

"Thank you"

I lean in and kiss her cheeks

"HEY!"

She playfully scolds pushing me

"got you to look at me didn't I?"

I say and she rolls her eyes at me

"You sneaky"

She says and as we get to the bed on set

"I am, what are you going to do about it?"

I challenge and she pulls a pillow from the bed and she tries to hit me, I laugh ducking her hits. We end up pillow fighting and laughing like little kids and then I stand on the bed and start jumping

"You going to get us in trouble"

She says to me, I hold out my hand to her

"join me"

She places her hand into mine and we both start jumping and playing and laughing like good old kids. It's been so long since I pillow fought and played like this especially with someone outside my family. She throws herself on the bed and then I throw myself next her and then turn on my side and remove the messy hair covering her face

"hey"

I say with my most charming smile

"hi"

She responds trying very hard not to blush

"You should smile and laugh more often"

I watch her beautiful self smile and laugh and find myself telling her only to earn myself another blush and I swear I just felt butterflies in my stomach

"And she smiles"

I says and she smiles even more

"You annoying"

I chuckle

"I like you Asante"

I tell her and she doesn't respond, maybe I ruined the moment by confessing how I feel about her but it's the truth

"Can we continue shooting"

Someone shouts startling us, her eyes widen and I don't know if it's from what Andile said or because of me telling her how I feel

"I'm going to get into trouble because of you"

I admit and she chuckles

"come, there's something I want to show you"

I say sitting up

"Come on"

I slide out of the bed and then hold my hand out to her and she takes it then I help her off. We make our way to Andile

"She's perfect"

Andile says as we approach him

"don't be mad"

I say and she looks at me suspiciously squinting her eyes, we stand side by side Andile and he presses play on his screen and there we are playing on the bed and everything we were doing looking like idiots

"there's cameras around the studio and we were caught on camera"

I explain as we stand and watch ourselves playing on the bed on camera and honestly I am happy with what I am seeing

"what do you think?"

Andile and I ask in unison

"This is the content we need. This is exactly what the song is about, love"

Andile says looking up at her

"I don't think I want to be in a music video"

She says and then walks away from me, I follow behind her not understanding what the hell just happened right now

"Snowflake please wait"

I plead and she halts to a stop

"What?"

She asks me looking a bit agitated

"Look, we can't use the footage without your signature anyway but Asante I am begging you. We won't do anything you are not comfortable with, if we do then you have every right to call cut"

I plead because I really liked the content I saw on Andile's screen

"Talk to your friend about it and get back to me"

I say and she walks away and goes to find her friends while I head back to Andile who is watching the content again

"This is beautiful, you and her look good together"

He compliments and I shrug sitting where Asante was earlier

"We do but she doesn't want to do this"

I tell him and he sighs

"It would be a shame to have to find someone else because I don't think you'll bond this well with someone else"

I nod

"It is what it is"

I say and then the girls step out dressed up as she was when I first met her

"Spoke too soon"

Andile says and I nod because I was not expecting this. She walks over to us

"So where do you need me?"

She asks and Andile looks at me

"Of cause. Come lets get to work"

I say getting off the chair

"Don't disappoint me please Miss"

Andile says and and she nods with a polite smile as we head to where we are supposed to start of.

"Thank you for agreeing to do this with me"

She shrugs

"It's whatever honestly. My friends begged me to."

She says and I don't respond. We get to our spots and everything goes as it should and I am grateful because Asante looked like a natural, a pro at this whole thing. When we are done we head to change and then meet in studio.

"As soon as the editing is done I will send it to you and we will see what we do with it"

Andile says and I nod and then we say our goodbyes. I lead us to my car and then we all get in so that I can drive them home

"So what did you think of the song?"

I ask and she shrugs

"Is it really about me?"

She asks me and I smile and shrug

"Depends on what you want to hear snowflake"

I say that pecking her tiny nose

"I'm seriously asking Aaron"

She says and I chuckle

"the camera loves you Snowflake. You looked like a natural, the song will be aired next week Friday and the video will be aired on my graduation day"
