Chapter 20

I walk up the door and I'm shocked to see Olivia. I frown confused

"Olivia?"
I say the same time she says
"Aaron?"
I open the door wide
"What are you doing here? How did you know where I live?"
I ask her as she closes the door behind her
"Well I didn't know until now. I was sent over to assist you with singing"
She explains and I still frown
"I work for this other agency part time so every now and then i assist famous celebrities with their vocal training"
She says and I nod
"I would have never guessed. I expected an older person or something along those lines"
I say and she shrugs
"Yeah, sorry to disappoint"
She says and I chuckle
"Not really a disappointment. So how are you? Can I offer you something to drink or eat?"
I ask and she nods
"Yeah a salad will do and tea"
She says and I frown
"Tea?"
I ask and she laughs
"Yeah we going to need tea if we going to be singing"
She says walking to the lounge
"Then we going to have to go buy this tea cause a I have is honey and lemon"
I explain and she shrugs
"That could work I guess but I'll send you a list of things you need to buy for our next session"

She says and I nod

"So shall we?"

I ask her handing her the salad

"Which instruments do you have around here?"

She asks as we make our way to the lounge

"The label only gave me a piano to work with, hopefully that will do the trick?"

She nods

"It should. We may start if your voice is up for it?"

She challenges and I chuckle

"My voice is always ready girl, whatchu mean?"

She giggles

"You could never know with you guys. I mean we did meet at a club last night"

I shrug

"Yeah we did but I wasn't performing or anything so we good to go anytime you ready"

She laughs

"Ok then. Start with vocal warm ups and we'll take it from there"

She suggests and I do as told. We spend and hour and a half doing vocal exercises for my voice until we both satisfied

"Thank you"

I say to her moving from the piano and she stands up too

"It was my pleasure. I should leave"

She says and I place my hand on her wrist stopping her

"Do you have to?"

She shrugs

"not really"

She says and we make our way to the couch

"So what's your story Olivia?"

She frowns

"I am 20 years old, I work as a vocal coach part time and a full time intern at this other media company. I completed my degree this year and now I'm just trying to figure my life out and see where this life thing takes me. There 3 of us at home with me being the last born, my siblings are both married and they live far from home. One is in Singapore and the other is Texas and I don't know what else to tell you"

She says and I smile

"And relationships?"

She laughs

"Never been in one, I'm a virgin"

She says looking down playing with her hands

"Nothing wrong with being a virgin. If anything you should be proud of yourself for making it this far. Your virginity is something you ought to pride yourself in, you guys are a dying breed"
