Chapter 26

I answer my phone and it's mom calling

"Hey mom"

I say

"He's awake Aaron"

She says with a bit of excitement

"Ok mom, we on our way"

I say to her and we end the call. I return to the lounge remembering that I had ordered food for everyone and I haven't paid

"Si we going to have to leave"

I say and my sister frowns

"Well that's not nice, why?"

She asks and everyone else waits to hear the reason

"Mom just called. Asante please accompany us out. Sona it was nice to meet you officially and hopefully next time I don't have to leave so early, the rest of you guys I'll see you around ok?"

I say and Esona hugs me

"It was nice to meet you, I hope you and her could work things out"

She whispers the last part, I chuckle

"We will see. In case I don't see you before you leave, travel safely"

I say and kiss her cheek and then head out with Asante following me. I give Sienna the car key and she walks out

"This is the money for the food we had ordered. Thank you for hosting us"

I say and she smiles

"It was no problem, thank you for the visit. Bye Aaron"

She says hugging me and I return it, she hugs me a bit tighter as if she's never going to see me again

"Drive safely and text when you get home"

She says as we break the hug

"I'm not drunk but I'll hit you up, as long as you unblock me"

She chuckles

"I most certainly will. Bye Aaron"

She says standing by the door, I kiss her forehead and say my goodbyes and then head to the car.

"What did mom say?"

Sienna asks the minute I get in

"He's awake"

I say starting the car and she smiles

"Thank God. I hope now he can tell us what's really going on with him"

She says

"Hungry?"

I ask and she shakes her head no

"Not quite, I'm worried and nervous"

She says and I nod as we drive to the hospital. I park and then we go to his floor

"Hey you"

Sienna says throwing herself in his arms

"Hey bro"

I say standing beside his bed

"You scared me"

Sienna says breaking the hug

"I didn't mean to"

He says quietly

"Songezo what happened? Why would you OD?"
