Broken agreement ( part two)

The next day I woke and carefully got outta bed and headed downstairs to start making breakfast. 

I heard light footfalls before I saw my little munchkins.

I moved back and looked at them watching as they made their way over to me.

 I smiled and kissed their cheeks.

"Hello, babies how are you two doing today?" I greet

The walked over to the table and sat down Iris helped Brennon get on his chair.

"We are doing great mommy," Brennon said

"Well that is good, I hope you and sissy is hungry cause I am making your favorite," I tell them

The looked at each other smiling before looking towards me and cheered.

I smiled as I turned my attention back to the food and flipped the pancakes before plating them all.

"How many would you like?"

"Can I have three please?" Iris asked

"Sure darling. what about you bub?"

"I'll take two please," he said

"Alright comping up."

After I made enough for us al land Harry if he is still home I turned of the stove and put the skillet out of reach before I walked over and sat the pancakes on the table before I grabbed some juice, cups, and plates.

Iris walked over and took some and helped place them on the table while Brennon came over and grabbed the cups being careful not to drop them. 

"You two are such big help," I tell them.

Since it was seemed to be just the kids and I that was at home I got them cleaned up did the dishes after putting the rest of the pancakes away and headed upstairs getting them ready. Well, Brennon ready since Iris is eight and likes dressing her self.

"Alright go downstairs and watch some tv while mommy gets cleaned up," I tell them.

They nodded their heads and headed off downstairs while I headed into the master bedroom and was surprised to see Harry still home.

I was careful not to disturb him as I grabbed some clothes and took a quick shower. when I got out I about jumped seeing Harry leaning against the counter.

"What can I do for you?" I asked as I got dried off and dressed.

"I want to apologize for what took place last night. I want to apologize for breaking our agreement. and I want to apologize for how I have been absent from home so much" he answers.

"Alright," I said 

"I am sorry for breaking our agreement, I shouldn't ever do the one thing I swore and promised to never do. I am sorry that I got upset when you told me how our kids feel about me working so much. I am sorry we got into the disagreement.  I am sorry that I am hardly spending time with you all."

"Well thank you for realizing you were in the wrong. thank you for apologizing to me. But I am not the only one you need to apologize to." 

He nodded his head and walked over to me and that's when I noticed his eyes were bloodshot and he looked a mess.

He wrapped his arms around me and buried his face in my neck and I held him too me.

"I never meant to do what I have. I never meant to but my job before our family. and if you all will allow me I will take a very long break and make it up to you all."

I nudged him so he would look at me.

"That would be a start but first why don't you get cleaned up then come downstairs and tell your kids what you had told me."

"I will."

"Good, no shower, and I will see you downstairs," I said then pecked his cheek before I walked around him and headed out the door and to our kids.

Moments later Harry came down and the kids look surprised.

"Hey, can we talk?" Harry asked as he sat between Brennon and Iris.

"Sure," they said

"I want to say I am sorry," he tells them

They say nothing just sit there looking at him.

"I don't hate you guys, and I am sorry that my absents had made you both feel as if I do. I never meant for this to ever happen. I am truly sorry."

They both wrap their arms around him and hug him as they both forgive him.

"If you two will allow me to I will take a long break and we can spend time together making up for lost times."

"Will mommy be coming with us if we go somewhere?" Brennon asked

"Of course mommy will be coming, it wouldn't be fun if she isn't there with us" Harry assured him.

I smiled as I watched them talk. The kids telling harry about the things he has missed out on and how they couldn't wait to spend time with him.
